What is the transportation and parking situation?

Answer

There will be valet, pull up to the front of the building and they will park your car for you.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would like for our guests to dress nicely, the "vibe" is semi-formal. Wedding colors are Emerald Green, with accents of Black and Gold. We prefer you to come in wedding colors, but it is not required. Please remember the wedding is in December, so also be sure to stay warm! Examples for Women: Black dress with tights and boots, Black dress pants and classy sweater. Examples for Men: Black suit with a green button up. Navy dress pants with a sweater or polo. Absolutely no sports logos please.

The wedding will have a split Ceremony and Reception. What does that mean for me?

Answer

We will be having a small ceremony with only immediate family present. While we can only accommodate a small crowd at the Ceremony, everyone is welcome to join us for the Wedding Reception and Celebration. Please tune in to the livestream of our wedding! https://evt.live/ellisrhotonwedding

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Answer

Kids are welcome to join us for the wedding reception. The environment will be formal, so use your best judgement when deciding whether to bring your little ones with you!

Am I permitted to bring a plus one?

Answer

We are able to accommodate anyone listed on your wedding invitation. Please ask before bringing any additional guests along with you for the wedding. This is necessary so we keep costs down and have an accurate guest count for food and activities.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP at your earliest convenience. We need to have an estimated guest count by December 1st, 2025.

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be at Carnegie Hall in Newport, KY (at 401 Monmouth St, Newport, KY 41071). It's an elegant space that was built by Andrew Carnegie in 1899 and once served as the Cambell County Public Library. We can't wait for you to see the venue!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Dependent upon the weather, we may be outside for a small portion of the night. But it is December, so dress warm!

What time is the ceremony? What about the reception?

Answer

Ceremony at 5:30 Dinner at 7:00 Reception at 8:00 Ball Drops at 12:00

What should I expect at the reception?

Answer

Plenty of fun! The groom has a background as a DJ, so we will have a specially curated playlist of fun dance music. We also plan to have board and card games for the folks who would rather not dance. The reception will run until just after midnight, so please plan to stay and watch the ball drop with family and friends!

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

We are planning to offer a livestream of the wedding for those who aren't able to attend the ceremony. Stay tuned for more details!

Question

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We will have hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour and a Cincinnati food bar with Skyline Coneys and Graeter's Ice Cream during the reception.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

The ceremony is strictly no phones allowed. At the reception, take as many photos as you would like. Please hold off on posting your photos from the wedding until afterwards, the Bride's instagram is @rylan.rhoton
