It all started at Camp Northward in Falmouth, Kentucky. He was the cute camp counselor; I was a camper. Yes, I know sounds very alarming. So, we just say "we met at camp". – Rylan

We went to the Woolfest and then to an FC Cincy soccer game. By the end of that day I had fallen for him. We went stargazing after the game hoping to see some scheduled northern lights. He kissed me on the forehead while sitting on the hood of his car. Then I said, "If you're gonna kiss me for real, you're going to have to get me down off of this car." He froze, almost paralyzed in shock. Which made me freak out. But after about 30 seconds he decided he wanted to kiss me. He held me like his delicate princess and gave me a soft dusting of a kiss under the moonlight. Are you jealous yet? I hope you found it as sweet, funny, and comforting as I do. – Rylan

I wanted the proposal to be a surprise for her, but I had known the exact date for a couple of months. The planning was meticulous, trying to customize the perfect ring, picking a sentimental spot, making reservations for dinner, and getting an undercover photographer to capture the moment. I even disguised Rylan's nail appointment as a birthday gift. But the whole thing almost fell apart a couple of hours before I was supposed to pick her up for "dinner". On the drive, Rylan told me over the phone "I hope you don't propose tonight, I really don't like my outfit..." Despite my awkward reassurance, she thankfully said yes. Perhaps the biggest surprise to Rylan of the whole night was when we arrived at our dinner reservation and both sets of our parents were there to join us and celebrate. – Hunter
