Here are some of the best beaches in the Charleston area to enjoy including Sullivan's Island, Folly Beach, Isle of Palms and others.
White Point Garden located on The Battery in downtown Charleston is the perfect spot to find respite from the sun. This 5.7 acre park is at the tip of the peninsula and features beautiful live oak trees planted all throughout the park. We recommend stopping here for a little picnic, diving into the history of the park, or taking in the seaside views
Founded in 1676, the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens is a wonderful way to spend a fun and peaceful day outside of Charleston and see a magnificent piece of history and natural beauty. Also the setting for another famous scene from The Notebook.
Take a quick trip to Sullivan’s Island and explore all this charming town has to offer. Sullivan’s Island is a barrier island on Charleston Harbor. Relax on the beaches, splash in the waves, fish, kayak, sail, check out the history, or just wander the town.
Poogan’s Porch opened in 1976 inside an old 1888 Victorian home in downtown Charleston. The restaurant is named after the owner’s family dog that served as the unofficial greeter. The menu has undergone several revamps over the years and the current chef is rolling out some delicious food. Pimento cheese fritters, crab cakes, fried green tomatoes and pan roasted ducks are all fantastic options.
Just walk around down by The Battery and look at all the gorgeous exterior designs. Carriage rides or walking tours are available to see the area and learn fun facts about the city.
Don’t let the name confuse you; while Leon’s does serve up excellent oysters, the true star of their menu is their fried chicken. Whether you’re eating it plain or in Leon’s spectacular fried chicken sandwich, the fried chicken here is beyond compare.
If you're a fan of The Notebook, take a picture outside where Noah and Allie went on their first date and danced in the street (this is next door to our venue).
A fun area away from downtown. There are six restaurant/bars along the creek, as well as a beautiful park with a very long pier winding through the marsh.
Patriots Point, Home of the USS Yorktown and maritime museum. A great view of the Charleston Harbor.
Tour a house from the 1800s! There are many houses to choose from in downtown Charleston, this is just one recommendation!
Famed for its Sunday jazz gospel brunch!
If you're into some slimy oysters, this place is your spot.
