Question

What are your COVID-19 health and safety measures? Part 1

Answer

We are very thankful and feel blessed that you have chosen to celebrate this special time with us! The health and safety of everyone involved is our main priority. Here are some things to know: Our ceremony and reception will take place outdoors in the courtyard areas at the William Aiken House with cocktail hour being held on the outdoor balconies of the house. Guests will have ample room to roam throughout the venue. In light of COVID-19, the William Aiken House will be taking necessary precautions to ensure a safe and joyous celebration for all. All guests will be asked to sign a statement of health waiver before entering the property. A copy of the form can be found at the bottom of our 'TRAVEL' page. Currently the City of Charleston’s mask ordinance requires everyone to wear a mask. Masks may be removed for formal photos, ceremony, eating and drinking only. Please bring your mask so we may comply. We will update you if this changes.

Question

What are your COVID-19 health and safety measures? Part 2

Answer

For food service, all servers will wear masks and gloves. Passed food and drinks will have covers and a clear shield will be placed in front of the bar. Dinner will be plated and any food stations will have an attendant to serve individual portions. We will be practicing social distancing in the courtyards and house. The seating plan will be made to allow for adequate spacing. There will be sanitizer located throughout. If you would like to learn more about PPHG's (William Aiken House) Health and Safety Event Guidelines, a copy of the guidelines can be found at the bottom of our 'TRAVEL' page. If you have any questions or have special requests, please let one of us know. We want you to be comfortable, safe and have a wonderful time! Much love, Hunter and Ryan
