Leslie & Hunter

Wedding Party

Meet the family and friends who will be standing by our side on the big day and learn why they're each so special to us both.

Billie Bennett

Maid of Honor

As my little sister, Billie knows exactly what Hunter is getting into with spending the rest of his life with me, and her support means the world. Although we live ten hours apart, she’s still one of my closest friends and I can always count on her to make my sides split with laughter. -L

Josh Hamm

Best Man

Josh has been one of my closest friends since college. He is a guy that I can always rely on. Oddly enough, when I first met him in class I thought he was annoying. It wasn’t until a year later that we would meet again and develop a close relationship. It’s quite funny because we have all the same interests but think of going about everything the opposite. -H

Amber Gibson

Maid of Honor

We’ve only been roommates a year, but I feel like I’ve known Amber my whole life. She tells it to me straight, has helped update my wardrobe and taught me everything I know about wine (which still isn't much). With how similar her personality is to Hunter's, it's no wonder we became close friends so quickly. -L

Morgan Wilson

Groomsman

Morgan is the oldest friend that I still have. We have been “battle buddies” since high school and have known each other since middle school. Many adventures have been had between the two of us, from teaming up to single-handedly take on a team of fifty at an airsoft match, to scaring teachers in the school hallways while dressed in ghillie suits, and many more that can’t be talked about. -H

Emylee Tull

Bridesmaid

An important part of Hunter’s life as his stepsister, Emylee quickly became someone I care for deeply. I’ve frequently seen her helping heart toward others, and I so look forward to teaming up as sisters against those crazy boys in the family. -L

Austin Smith

Groomsman

Austin is “my only whole brother,” as my late grandfather would always remind me. We love each other but we definitely show it in a “brotherly” type of way. My family always tells the story of when they first brought Austin home from the hospital and the first thing I did was walk up to him all sweetly and then slap him. Two opposites, always together. -H

Rebecca Hamm

Bridesmaid

I wanted to be close friends with Becca from the first day I met her. She’s one of the sweetest, most driven people on the planet. I remember being thrilled when she joined our friend group as she and Josh began to date. Now, I know she’ll be an amazing support through the married life we’ll both be tackling. -L

Scott Reaves

Groomsman

Scotty is the friend that I still talk to the most, my old reliable. We can be states apart and without fail I can expect a call from him. If I need a friend or someone to help me out he will always be there. However, the funniest memory I have of Scotty is a time when I helped him out instead. I’m sure he would want to keep the details just amongst those friends that were there, like Josh, but he will always be “cheezin.” -H

Valerie Harbin

Bridesmaid

Val was my training manager at Academy, where we both worked during the last years of my college career. After a department transfer that removed me from her supervision, we were able to become friends outside of work—and what a friend she's been! We have a mutual love for all things nerdy and introverted, but it's her selfless heart that I admire most. -L

William Ledbetter

Groomsman

Will and I met in my first semester in college. We decided to get to know each other since we had so many classes together. One of my best memories with Will is actually one of my best memories ever. We decided to go adventuring in the upper peninsula of Michigan with only a backpack each. Unexpected but wonderful events transpired, from playing with bear cubs, to waking up on a beach having slept in hammocks, to hiking trails and relaxing amongst waterfalls. -H

Abigail Huynh

Bridesmaid

Abigail was one of the first friends I made at my new church in Birmingham, and one of my happiest moments last year was being able to watch her baptism and hear God inspire the crowd through her testimony. Girls’ nights with her are fun, real, and faith-centered. I’m grateful to walk through life together. -L

Zach Poticny

Groomsman

The first time I met Zach was definitely a “Zach” experience. On the first day of class, I was sitting waiting for it to start. I was definitely not in the mood to talk to anyone, but a complete stranger walked up and sat next to me, saying, “what’s up, man, we should study together.” Because of Zach I got the most interesting job I’ve ever had and still today we teach each other and hold one another accountable in our goals for the future. -H

Mikaela Armstrong

Bridesmaid

One of my closest friends through college, Miki stood by my side through doubt and fear about the future, always reassuring me that God’s plan and goodness would endure. While I have no doubt life will take her across the world on some adventure, I know we’ll always be able to reunite as though we had just spoken yesterday. -L

James Allen

Groomsman

James is the “old man” of the group. We have gotten each other through the pains of engineering school. He is the one with the most life experience out of our group and would be quick to give a lecture on such matters. All my other friends love having him around simply to hear him heckle or make fun of me out of love, similar to how an older brother would. -H
