Jackie and Hunter met in Massachusetts about 12 years ago. They had grown up just 20 minutes from each other, her in Princeton and him in Bolton. They spent many a time going to see concerts, having backyard cookouts and late night campfires. When Jackie moved out to Denver five years ago, the two picked up where they left off. In fact, their friendship grew even deeper. For Hunter, it was exciting to have an old friend in a new place. Jackie was extremely supportive during some tough times. She was always there to listen, no matter what the problem (if any of you know Jack, I'm sure you can vouch for this!). For Jackie, coming up to visit Hunter in Boulder was always an adventure. His door was always open and, whether it was cooking dinner, having a party, or just hanging out, their time together was always a welcome respite from the weight of the world. So… why not keep that going? In the last year, as the world closed down, Jackie and Hunter’s love opened up. These two friends, who had seen deep into each other’s closets and were unafraid of the skeletons that lay there, began to fall in love amidst a Pandemic that cast such a heavy shadow on the year of 2020. For us, the shadow of Covid-19 afforded us the chance to grow closer and closer. With nothing to do but spend time together, we realized that’s all we really wanted to do anyway! Now, our love has deepened into something we are both willing and excited to invest the rest of our lives into growing. If you are receiving this message, it means that you are part of our family, our tribe. You have helped shape us into the humans we are today and your indelible impressions have helped fill our sails with the winds of fortune that have brought these two ships together. Whether you know it or not, YOU have had a profound impact on our lives and we are so happy to have your support as we step into the future as one. ALRIGHT! Enough of this sentimental crap, LET'S PARTY!!
