Maid of Honor
Although Jeanette and I are sisters she is also my best friend and forever buddy. Jeanette is one of my biggest rocks in life. We laugh together non-stop and can have fun doing just about anything. I admire her strength, constant giving spirit and her compassionate and kind heart most. Those of you who have met one of my alter egos (Sharon- the southern mess or Penelope- the child psychologist) have Jeanette to thank for those creations..she just brings em out of me! Needless to say life is pretty fun and amazing with my sissy by my side, so I knew I needed her right next to me on my wedding day!
Best Man
Mack and I met at UVM through the sailing team. We became fast friends after following one another on our bikes back up the hill through Burlington after practice each day freshman year. We eventually mustered enough courage to try and create "small talk" during these bikes rides and once we got past this awkward initial stage of our friendship, we were inseparable through college. Though we live on opposite sides of the country, we always pick up right where we left off when we see each other and always up for an adventure big or small.
Bridesmaid
Mollie and I clicked right away. I was so grateful my brother had found someone that matched his amazing heart. During our trip to London together early in their relationship, I knew she was the one for Maris. I hoped I would get to call her my sister and am so glad that dream came true. If I need something researched or a decision made, Mollie is my go to girl. I look up to mollie with her go-getter drive, humor and kindness. I am grateful for her raising such amazing Cat children that I get to call my nieces and nephew.
Best Man
Maris and I first hung out during soccer team camp my senior year of high school. We quickly realized we had a remarkably similar weird sense of humor and this bonded us from the start. Through the years, we have enjoyed lots of boogie boarding together, banana milkshakes (except that one time), and long walks on the beach. Even with Maris being two years younger, I've always found myself looking up to him. He has always been a steadfast and loyal friend who I've considered to be my brother. Now we will be actual brothers by law for without Maris, I would never have met Emma!
Matron of Honor
My oldest sister Lauren has always been someone who I greatly look up to. Her adventurous spirit, open mind and heart, and her never give up work ethic are what I admire most. She has raised two of the coolest, most creative and sweet kids ever, who I adore. Though we live far apart the time we get together are my most treasured memories.
Best Man
Jeremy has been one of my best friends since kindergarten. After countless play dates, sleep overs, soccer practices, and hang outs we are just as close now as we ever were. Watching Jeremy find such a passion in his work has been awesome to see and inspires me in my own career. Through all the change we have both gone through since the age of 5 our friendship has proven to be one of the few constants in my life.
Bridesmaid
Lauren and I met dancing together and became best friends after her and Christina asked me to dinner and very formally requested we be best friends. Soon after Lauren and I lived together for about 4 years where she poured us the wine and I cooked us the meals. Lauren brings out the silly and fun in every part of life. I wouldn't be me without Lauren!
Best Man
Along with Maris, Harry shared that same weird sense of humor that most often came out when we were around one another before, during, or after soccer practice. Our friendship brought us together as roommates a few years ago in Annapolis when we were both navigating life after college. No matter what life threw at us, we could always count on an almost nightly grill n' chill session followed by a game of darts at the house to wind down from the day. Harry is as invested in my life as his own and he makes it so easy to call him one of my best men.
Bridesmaid
Christina (aka Tina) and I met dancing in Indianapolis where we quickly bonded over our love of all snacks. Tina doesn't take life too seriously and taught me to just enjoy every part of life. Lauren, Tina and I have shared many tears of laughter during long days in the theater together, during class, rehearsals, really anywhere. Life is so great with a little Tina in it!
Best Man
Woody interned at the shop where I work a few summers ago. We quickly realized that we both sailed and coincidentally enough, he coached sailing at a local high school that owns UVM's old boats - FJ's that I sailed in college! That summer I was looking to move over to the eastern shore to be closer to work and we decided to be roommates together. As our friendship continued, we learned we had a lot more in common than just sailing. Emma and I countdown the days until our next visit with Woody and Erin, and look forward to a lifelong friendship with them both!
Bridesmaid
Ashleigh is one of the most loyal to the core friends you could ever ask for. I am lucky enough to call her one of my best friends! We met dancing together my first year in Indianapolis. All it took was sharing some Mac and Cheese and chicken nuggets for our friendship to take off. After being long distance best friends for several years we now live only a little over an hour away from one another! Much of my heart has been shaped by Ashleigh!
Best Man
Alexander or X and my friendship started at soccer team camp in high school. X has continually shown great investment and care for not only our friendship but all of his friendships. He is the glue that holds our friend group together. Always getting us to all hangout when we were home from college or planning his friends to come visit him all at once when he lived in upstate New York. A couple years ago he moved back to Maryland, a homecoming long overdue for someone who loves MD more than anyone. Being the life of the party, I can always guarantee a great time when we are hanging out with X!
Bridesmaid
Kogan and I danced together in Indianapolis. It didn't take long for us to find out we were soul sisters. She has been a constant in my life and someone I can always rely on to listen to me without judgement, to always validate, empower and give me confidence. Her upbeat attitude, and generous heart is a gift to this world!
Best Man
Some of my fondest memories growing up were with my cousin Chris at our grandparents house in Fredericksburg, VA. Specifically one time I remember climbing a huge pine tree in the back yard that towered over the house. We felt so cool and accomplished despite being covered head to toe with pine sap and probably being yelled at for getting filthy. Since those days on Nelson Street, we have occasionally seen each other at family events and just picked up where we left off like climbing that tree was yesterday. It is so easy being around this guy, engaging you in whatever conversation that might come up big or small.
Bridesmaid
Maggie is one of my oldest friends. We met while her sister took piano lessons from my mom. We were encouraged to play together and we bonded quickly while playing with dolls. I put the baby doll's diaper on my head and maggie thought it was hilarious...we were inseparable from that moment on. We were so close that we told everyone we were "step sisters"..clearly we had no idea what that actually meant but our impression was it meant you were even more tightknit than sisters. We had the distance between our houses timed to a science and I still know her home phone number by heart. She is through and through my lifelong best friend and my "step sissy". Thanks for always picking up our friendship exactly where we left off and filling my life with so much joy and love.
Best Man
Pete and I work together at the shop. Pete is a perpetual source of positive energy and makes going to work that much better every day. Pete is the best friend anyone could ask for. When we got married last year with only our immediate family present, he still took it upon himself to show his love and support by cruising across the bay from Chestertown to shoot off fireworks from his boat in celebration. Not only is he our pup Ferris's favorite person but, he is also one of the coolest, most cultured, thoughtful, and intelligent people we know! We're lucky enough to call him one of our best friends.
Bridesman
Robert and I have been best friends for nearly 20 years. Bob has been a steady constant in this lifetime of friendship. He has always been someone I can rely on for a good laugh, an incredible story, and a place to share anything and everything. His fire, determination, incredibly smart brain, and self-certainty have always inspired me and have motivated me to be more like him. In middle and High school we would convince others that we were twins and it was always a big compliment to me when people believed us. I'm so lucky to know Robert will be my best friend for another 20 years, and 20 more after that, and another the rest of this lifetime. Thanks for being my twin and bestie!
Best Man
Kreig and I met through Emma and one of her best friends Christina (Kreig is married to Tina). This guy became a fast friend and we quickly bonded over our love of running, trucks, and our shared sense of humor. No doubt Kreig will continue to be a lifelong friend and we anxiously await the many inevitable adventures!
