Ring in our special day

Cameron and Breanna’s story began in September 2017, thanks to a simple Snapchat. Breanna, using a mutual friend’s phone, asked Cameron to add her. When Cameron opened the snap, she stared at the photo for minutes—wondering if Breanna was into women—and was instantly hooked. For Cameron, it was love at first photo. At the time, Cameron was a freshman at the University of Iowa and Breanna was a sophomore at DMACC on a softball scholarship. Despite not looking for anything serious, they quickly connected. Just a few weeks later, Breanna shared her plans to visit Kansas City for its famous haunted houses around Halloween. Ironically, Cameron grew up there and was also planning to be home that same weekend for her mom’s birthday. The coincidence felt like fate, and during that trip they realized their connection was something special. By November, they couldn’t deny their feelings any longer and began dating. The first chapter of their relationship included big changes. Breanna transferred to the University of Missouri–Kansas City on a softball scholarship, and Cameron also moved home to attend UMKC (or some would say to be closer to Bre). After more than a year together, their paths diverged, and Breanna ended the relationship (Cam really wanted to note this)—leaving Cameron heartbroken, though she always believed Breanna was her person. Life brought them back together in 2020 when Cameron’s dad fell ill. Knowing how much Cameron’s family meant to her, Breanna showed up with unwavering support—bringing meals to the hospital and standing by Cameron’s side. Thankfully, Cameron’s dad is healthy today, but that experience reignited their bond and reminded them of the strength of their love. Their connection only grew stronger. They rekindled their relationship that fall, taking a trip to New Orleans to pick up Breanna's dog, Nola, and officially began dating again on September 4, 2020. By December, Cameron knew she wanted forever with Breanna and secretly started a layaway plan for the perfect ring. On December 19, 2022, she proposed to Breanna on Sarasota Beach in Florida. Months later, Breanna surprised Cameron with her own custom-designed ring and a beautiful proposal in Kansas City on May 1, 2023. Neither was in a rush to marry, as they were choosing to enjoy their engagement and continue building their life together as they were getting ready to move to Minnesota where Cameron began pursuing her PhD at Mayo Clinic. But after nearly three years of engagement, they are ready to begin the next chapter and tie the knot on November 15, 2025—surrounded by the people who have cheered them on through every chapter of their love story.
