Each invitation will clearly indicate if a plus-one is included. Unfortunately, our venue has strict capacity limits, so we’re unable to accommodate additional guests.
We’d love for you to join us in black-tie optional attire! Gentlemen, a dark suit and tie works perfectly. Ladies, gowns, cocktail dresses, or jumpsuits are all great choices.
Our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, weather permitting. Due to the unpredictable Illinois weather, we recommend guests bring a jacket in case it gets chilly. Should it be too cold outside, all festivities will be moved indoors.
We’ve reserved room blocks at both the Hilton Garden Inn – Lake Forest and the Residence Inn Lake Forest/Mettawa. Please book your stay by October 14, 2026 to guarantee a room in our block. Use the following group codes — Hilton: HUNDOR and Marriott: HUDHUDS — or mention the Hund–Dorion Wedding when booking to receive the discounted rate. Both hotels are about a five-minute drive from the Armour House, and a shuttle will be provided on the wedding day for transportation to and from the venue. If you prefer, there are also many other hotel options in the Lake Forest and greater Chicago area.
Yes! Complimentary shuttle service will be provided on the evening of November 14, 2026, between the Armour House and both hotel blocks (Hilton Garden Inn and Residence Inn). The shuttle will run about two hours before the ceremony and up to two hours after the reception.
The best airport to fly into is O’Hare International Airport, located approximately 30 minutes from Lake Forest, depending on traffic. We recommend taking an Uber or taxi from the airport to your accommodations. Chicago offers a wide variety of hotels if you prefer to stay in the city. The commute from downtown Chicago to Lake Forest usually takes between 40 and 50 minutes by car or train.
We cannot accommodate guests under age 21 on our wedding day.
Please plan to arrive by 3:30PM to allow time for seating and to ensure the ceremony starts promptly at 4:00PM. Arriving a little early will help you find your seat comfortably and not miss any part of the celebration.
Yes, there is on-site parking available at the venue. Signs will be posted to direct you to the proper parking area once you enter the Lake Forest Academy grounds.
