FAQs

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

TEXAS FORMAL While not the most traditional dress code, Texas Formal is gaining traction in places where Western wear is part of the culture. Think of this less as a mandatory theme and more as an invitation to incorporate your Western wear without it feeling too casual for the occasion. Formality lands somewhere between cocktail and formal attire but with the perfect excuse to dust off your boots, throw on a bolo tie, or bring your cowboy hat. Nothing in the closet that fits the vibe? Don’t worry, classic cocktail attire is equally welcome! Attire Moodboard: https://photos.app.goo.gl/NwAht7fkPG4tXxPk8

Question

Why is there a time gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

If you’re familiar with Catholic weddings, you’re probably used to the notorious ceremony-to-reception gap — it’s all part of the tradition! Catholic ceremonies are often scheduled earlier in the day to accommodate the church’s regular Mass schedule, which leaves a break before the reception. During that time, feel free to grab a coffee or light lunch nearby, hit a brewery, or head back to your hotel to relax and freshen up. Check our "Things To Do" page on the site for more detailed recommendations in the area. Dinner, drinks, and dancing will await you at the reception — we can’t wait to celebrate together!

Question

Parking information

Answer

If you are unfamiliar with parking at the church, please allow for a minimum of 20 minutes of extra time to sort out parking and find your way into the venue. Unfortunately, the church recently sold one of their free parking lots and it is now a paid lot. Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Nashville weather can be unpredictable and it's best to keep an eye on the forecast. One week it may be 72°, the next it could be closer to 30°. The ceremony and reception are fully indoors, but we recommend packing a jacket or shawl for walking from your car to the venue just in case. Fingers crossed for warm weather, though rain is always a possibility so consider packing an umbrella as well.
