This Saturday farmers market is the largest in the area. Grab lunch, listen to the live music, or just wander to check out some of the Capital Region’s vendors. This is also a great opportunity to check out some of the shops around Monument Square. (And for those in the area, you may notice some vintage-y signage on some businesses downtown. They’re filming an HBO series in Troy and have altered some of the storefronts to echo the period!)
While the Saratoga Race Course is closed for the season, Broadway is still a great street to wander. Want a good beer? Druthers, RS Taylor & Sons and Pint Sized are great. Want some lunch? Putnam Market has awesome to-go sandwiches, but there are also sit-down restaurants all along Broadway. If you want to walk outside the lines, the nearby Beekman Arts District has some great local crafters. Plus, the Saratoga Spa State Park is a great place to walk around!
Hint hint, this is the brewery next to our venue!
A great, little brewery only a couple blocks from our first Capital Region apartment.
Steve has a knack for finding good, unexpected places to eat. This was one of them, after a trip to the NYS Museum.
