Who is invited to the Welcome Party?

Answer

-> EVERYONE! From the beginning we have said that having our friends and family present for our special day is the most important part of our wedding celebration, and we want to spend as much time with everyone as possible. We are lucky to have some family friends host the Welcome Party. So please come by The Carolina Brewery on Friday August 9 so we can start the celebration together including children for this event!

Are children allowed at this wedding?

Answer

While we would love to have your children present, the accommodations would not easily cater to the younger audience. Unless otherwise indicated on invitations, please hold off from bringing children to the wedding Ceremony and Reception. Let's make our wedding a date night and adults only. If needed, we can help arrange for childcare in the area so you can let loose!

How do we get around?

Answer

Other than getting from the airport to Chapel Hill (for those flying in), every event for this wedding is within one mile of each other in a very walkable, pedestrian friendly area. If you are driving you may park your car for the weekend and walk everywhere. Unless you want to venture out of downtown Chapel Hill, you should not need a rental car/transportation. Durham and Raleigh are easily reached by Uber if you want to explore some of what NC has to offer!

What kind of weather is expected?

Answer

We hope it will be good weather but assume hot and humid - its a southern wedding after all. But don't worry, the outdoor ceremony will be short and sweet so no one should melt or become overheated in the August North Carolina summer evening. Water will be provided at all points of the wedding.

Where should we drop off cookies for the Cookie Table?

Answer

If you are contributing to the Cookie Table, please bring your cookies wrapped or in a disposable container to the Carolina Inn front desk on Friday when you check-in or Saturday before the ceremony. Yayyy cookies!!
