Pearson Huggins

Being Evan’s brother simply does not tell the story between the two. Over the years Pearson has been more than a brother. He has been a mentor and a role model that Evan has admired during their youth. From making mattress slides as young kids, to many late nights of playing basketball in the driveway throughout high school to the early morning hours, and creating a name for themselves in the realm of medicine, these two have challenged each other to always strive to achieve their best. Pearson reminds Evan to remain humble and to always treat others with a gentle hand while Evan shows Pearson to allow spontaneity in life and to trust your instincts. They have been roommates in Dublin, Ohio during their medical training and they always find ways to come together and be each other’s biggest fans. As brothers, the bond between these two is one that is exceptionally rare to find. Pearson is currently finishing his second year of Internal Medicine residency within the Mount Carmel Healthcare System and recently accepted a Chief Resident position after completion of his residency training.
Spencer Reynolds

If you ask Spencer, he probably still remembers the day in year 2000 when Evan and his family moved into their new house across the street from him on Oakglade Lane in Galion, Ohio. Ever since going to pre-school together, Spencer and Evan have been brothers since day one and have been one each other’s greatest supporters throughout their lives. Spencer, and his wife, Makaila Reynolds, have been married since 2019 and just welcomed their first beautiful daughter Everly in June of 2022 and are currently expecting a baby boy later this year. Spencer is as charismatic of an individual as someone can be and has never been one to back down from a challenge. Over all these years, Spencer has encouraged Evan to continuously to step out of his comfort zone and to never settle for mediocrity. The amount of stories that can be told about these two about their upbringings in Galion are endless and will only continue to grow for years to come. Spencer currently works at his family business of Jubilee Finishing in Crestline, Ohio as Chief of Operations.
Zane Ekin

Zane is another lifelong friend of Evan’s since his youth who grew up across the street from Oakglade Lane and have been brothers ever since. It was extremely common to find Zane, Spencer, and Evan riding dirt bikes and ATVs around the neighborhood and fields growing up while throwing caution to the wind. Zane, and his wife Clair since 2020, have always been tremendous supporters of Evan and Rebecca’s relationship since the start. In addition, they are expecting their first baby girl later this year. Zane is a highly determined individual and has always been someone to help another in a time of need. Zane and Evan also have many stories they could tell you about over all these years and have always pushed each other to find new challenges in life. He is friend that is extremely difficult to find. Zane currently works for his family business of Elliott Machine Works in Galion, Ohio.
Brady Neuhart

Brady and Evan first met as freshman at Otterbein University, were roommates, and have been close friends ever since. Originally from southeast Ohio, Brady is a humble man who is always down to have a good time. Brady's initial memories of Evan probably consist of educating Evan in more classic forms of country music. They took college physics together in which both had to make sure the other was staying focused in class. Brady, and his wife Jessica and their first daughter Lucille, are a spectacular family and have hearts of gold and have been amazing friends to this day. As of recent, Brady and Jess just welcomed their second child Benjamin as well. Brady is a tremendous friend who always looks for the best in people. Brady currently works for Fastener Industries Inc. in northeast Ohio.
Andrew Cade

Andrew and Evan met during freshman year at Otterbein University and have been tremendous friends since. They have been great supporters for each other during college and as they both progressed into medical school at Ohio University in Dublin, Ohio and as they will soon enter residency. Andrew, and his fiancé Paige, have always been individuals to put others before themselves. Andrew is without a doubt a goal-driven individual who always finds new challenges to conquer in life. To Andrew’s credit, he has had to “put up” with Evan’s shenanigans throughout these years and his friendship has never wavered. His character is remarkable and will always be a close friend and colleague for years to come. Andrew recently was admitted to the Riverside Methodist Internal Medicine Program in Columbus, Ohio. His primary interests are primary care / sports medicine.
Phil Shera

Phil, as Rebecca’s brother, deserves plenty of credit and respect for being the only boy with four sisters. He is an incredibly humble and hilarious individual who is not afraid to speak his mind. Ever since he first met Evan during the 2020 holidays, him, and his wife Reaganne, have been tremendous enthusiasts of Rebecca and Evan’s relationship. It is fair to say they had their doubts at first as Evan was a “questionable” Euchre player in the earlier aspect of their relationship. Rebecca and Evan love visiting Phil and Reaganne in the suburbs of Washington D.C. and getting to spend time with them every time they can.
Ples Spradley

Ples is one of Evan’s cousins from Little Rock, Arkansas who is now currently a Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas. Ples is an incredibly talented and intelligent individual who also has a significant passion for his family, friends, and community. Evan had the opportunity to introduce Rebecca to Ples during the summer of 2021 in which they took Ples to Top Golf for the first time to see that spectacular golf swing of his. When he is not in the clinic, he loves to travel, maintain his beautiful home garden, and he recently completed a half marathon in Little Rock. Ples is someone you truly have to meet for yourself as he has countless worldly life experiences that are truly inspiring. As of recent, Ples accepted a full-time Internal Medicine physician position at the VA in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Levi Acer

As the oldest child of Jordan and Jessica Acer, Levi has a tremendous responsibility of watching over his five sisters, younger brother, and soon to be new baby brother. Even though being a young teenager, Levi has displayed a level of maturity that is exceptionally rare in other children his age. Rebecca and Evan have been blessed to spend time with Levi and his family over the course of their relationship. Some of the best memories Rebecca and Evan have of Levi include the countless games of capture-the-flag with the rest of the kids, playing paintball, spending time playing cards, and making fun of Evan and how bad he initially was at playing cards. He is extremely protective of his family and is incredibly passionate about his Christian faith. He is an amazing young man who comes from a humble but yet extraordinary family and Rebecca and Evan cannot wait to see what life has in store for him for years to come.
Tabitha Stands

Tabitha has been Becca's lifelong built in best friend. Not only is Tabitha Becca's older sister, she is also one of her role models and biggest supporters. From late night study sessions to early morning practices Tabitha has always been there for her sister and supported her in all of her dreams and biggest accomplishments. Throughout Becca's high school career Tabitha played an active role in Becca's education and softball career. Always taking the time to encourage her sister and stay up late to practice Tabitha has been a driving force in Becca's life. As Becca progressed to college Tabitha remained involved in her academic and personal life always providing Becca with a safe place to always come and talk as well as providing her with many home cooked meals and lots of snacks. Becca attests that she would not be the person she is today without the love and support of her sister Tabitha. Becca's favorite memory of her sister Tabitha is when she drove up from Tennessee on Becca’s birthday just to surprise her and spend a weekend with her. Tabitha is the middle child in the Shera family and is married to her loving husband Daniel and has 5 beautiful children: Nora, Skyler, Emmett, Caden, and Winifred.
Jessica Acer

Jessica is Becca's second oldest sisters who is known for being both Becca and Evans continual therapist throughout the wedding planning process. Throughout the continuous stressful planning process Jessica has been there for both Becca and Evan from wise counsel to comedic relief to help bring things into perspective. Becca has always looked up to Jessica as a second mother figure especially due to their long standing history of Jessica trying to mother her at an early age. Becca's favorite memory with her sister Jessica is the time Jessica babysat her and placed her on timeout by tying her to a chair with a jump rope due to Becca's lively spirit. Jessica is the second oldest in the Shera family and is married to her loving husband Jordan and together they have 8 beautiful children: Levi, Natalie, Karis, Elin, Aliyah, Selah, Travis, and new baby boy coming May of 2023.
Chelsea Kehl

Chelsea is Becca's oldest and most outgoing sibling. From dance offs to hard life talks Chelsea has always been there for her baby sister. Without reason or background Becca knows that her sister Chelsea will always be there for her in time of need without judgement. She is always able to help everyone feel welcome and included and is always the one who brings the fun. Her love for others and strength for her family never go unrecognized and she is a light to everyone she meets. Becca's favorite memory with her sister Chelsea is when Chelsea was babysitting Becca would always lock herself in the bathroom and play hair dresser with the scissors. Although this is one of Chelsea's least favorite memories this is one that Becca always finds funny and loves to share. Chelsea is the oldest sibling in the Shera family and is married to her loving husband Craig and they have 4 wonderful children: Carrick, Quinn, Callahan, and Declan.
Haley Haxton

Haley is one of Becca's lifelong friends who has always helped keep her grounded. From late night facetimes of boy talk to regular check ins on life Haley has remained one of Becca's biggest supporters. Haley and Becca have always been close and even when they are apart at times they always find time to check in with one another and catch up. When reunited it is as if the two of them never missed a beat and they are instantly back to their united glory in the golden halls of UA. Throughout the wedding planning process Haley has always been supportive and helpful always jumping in and asking how she can help and checking in to see how Becca is handling all the stress that life has to offer. Becca's favorite memories with Haley involves many late nights of staying up with their friend group for night hammock sessions and hanging out at the Haxton's house for bonfires and some of Mamma Haxton's amazing cooking.
Emma Racher

Emma is Becca's ride or die best friend. If there is ever an adventure or bucket list item that either wants to accomplish the other is instantly in. Their friendship started at an early age at 6th grade camp when Becca was the new kid in middle school Emma was immediately there to welcome and include her. From their jokes of albino beavers to jimmy-jubers the two of them have remained best friends who always have each others back and are always able to make each other laugh. Although separated by distance Emma and Becca still remain close and share the same strong love of Disney and childlike wonder. Becca's favorite memory ever was made with Emma when she agreed to accompany Becca in checking off skydiving from her bucket list on her 24th birthday.
Sydny Hodell

Sydny is Becca's newest friend who has become more of a sister than a friend over the past year they have spent with each other. To say they have gone through the trenches is an understatement when describing the start of their friendship. Both Sydny and Becca have graduated from a second degree year long BSN program and have been each others rocks throughout he program. Becca would not have made it through the intense and overwhelming program without Sydny by her side. From late night studying to their early morning coffee dates before 6am clinical the two of them have become inseparable and would not have remained sane if not for the other. Their mutual love of country music and being in the great outdoors helped initiate their friendship and their goofy and fun loving personalities kept them together. Becca's favorite memory with Sydny is the day they met at Mount Carmel and the two of them bonded and officially became friends over their shared mutual love for being outdoors.
Lauren Huggins

Lauren is Becca's soon to be sister in law. From day one of Becca meeting Evan's family Lauren has helped Becca feel welcomed and included. By always bringing some comic relief Lauren has helped both Becca and Evan make it through many stressful wedding decisions. Being an advocate for their relationship and encouraging the two of them over the years Lauren has become family to Becca and she is beyond excited to call her her sister in law. Her strength, empowerment, and determination is what draws people to her and she is a constant encouragement to Becca and helps push her to embody many of her qualities. Becca's favorite memory with Lauren is when the two of them played four square with Becca's nieces and nephews together.
Reaganne Shera

Reaganne is Becca's sister in law who has become a strong influence and even better friend to Becca over the years. From sharing books and clothing they have become truly more than just sisters but friends. Due to their growing friendship over the years Reaganne and Becca have made many memories together and have become heavily involved in each others lives. Although Reaganne and her husband Phil live in Virginia, Becca and Evan have made time to fly out and visit them and hangout with them throughout their relationship. With Becca and her brother being so close she always had a fear of losing her brother to another but instead she gained a new friend and sister. Reaganne has been a nonstop voice of encouragement over Becca and Evans relationship and has continued to help the couple with wedding advice and planning efforts. Without the knowledge and guidance of Reaganne throughout the wedding process many tasks would still be incomplete or forgotten. Becca's favorite memory with her sister Reaganne is when she showed Becca around downtown DC and they went night scootering around the monuments.
Natalie Acer

Natalie is Becca's loving and compassionate niece. Natalies kind and compassionate heart are what draw people to her. Becca is constantly amazed and challenged by Natalies love for the lord and passion for animals. Becca fell in love with Natalie the moment she first held her in her arms and over the years of getting to watch Natalie grow up and mature into a young adult has brought immense joy to Becca's heart. Although Natalie is only Becca's niece she has always been like a little sister to Becca and will always be a sister and friend to her. Becca's favorite memory with Natalie is when she had the honor of taking her to build-a-bear for her birthday and got to help her make her very first stuffed animal when she was little. Seeing her nieces joy and excitement was something special that Becca will always remember and hold dear to her.
Karis Acer

Karis is Becca's strong and determined niece who is constantly a driving force in Becca's life. From her spunky personality to her active and adventurous spirit, Becca sees a lot of herself in her niece. They both share a passion for sports and a drive to always improve and progress their skills. Becca is amazed at the strong and confident woman her niece has continued to become and although she is her niece Becca views her like a little sister. There is nothing that Karis can not achieve or accomplish and this is something Becca admires about her the most. She is a force to be reckoned with and will never be one to allow others to influence who she is. Becca's favorite memory with her niece Karis is from when Becca was in highschool and her nieces had come to visit her at her job at the pool. Having the opportunity to help her niece jump off the diving board and sit in a lifeguard chair was a special memory. This is a memory that Becca will never forget while watching her niece continue to grown into a strong and determined woman.
