Katelyn and Justin knew each other existed because they worked out at the same time at the same gym. It was his beard and his cool hairstyle that caught her eye. Katelyn decided to message Justin on Facebook one night while she was out with friends one evening. She said “Hey”. That’s it. That’s where it started. He didn’t reply until the next day however once he did, they talked all day. She went on a hike later that evening and invited him to which he said “I’ve had a beer. I don’t like to drink and drive.” Responsible. Good guy. He was trying to let her down easy but Katelyn was persistent. Once she finished the hike she texted and asked for a night cap. One drink. Just talking. Outside his house. He agreed and she went. They sat outside on his pool deck and talked for hours. About everything. Good, bad and ugly. Neither were looking for a serious relationship. Just a friendship. But That’s the beauty of it. Neither expected anything from the other and before they knew it, the unexpected happened… They fell in love 🖤

After hanging out for a couple of weeks and realizing they liked each others company quite a bit. Justin took Katelyn on their first Date. A shooting range and Hook and Reel for dinner! Who wouldn’t want to shoot guns and eat seafood boil!?

When it came time for Tate and JP to meet in person Katelyn wanted it to be special. They had a fun filled day planned! They met at a park first to let Tate play and get comfortable with JP which didn’t take long at all. It was best buds at first meet! Then they all met some family at Stars and Strikes to bowl and play games! Tate said it was the Best Day Ever! 🖤

Katelyn 110% had no idea that Justin was planning to ask her to marry him. They had spoken about it enough for him to know she’d say yes but other than that she didn’t expect it and getting married wasn’t a requirement. She loved Justin and he loved her and that was enough. He planned it for family pictures. The same family pictures that happen every year! He was supposed to be grabbing her from behind in a bear hug and spinning her around but when she was told to turn, he was down on one knee. So many happy tears. Katelyn was beyond ecstatic. Tate was so happy and excited. Justin was relieved he hadn’t given anything away and a beautiful family officially welcomed Katelyn and Tate into it.
