We suggest flying into Charlottesville Albemarle airport or Richmond international airport. Richmond has more direct flights available, but is about an hour drive from downtown Charlottesville. If you want to explore the surrounding nature of the Blue Ridge mountains, grab a friend or two and rent a car for the weekend! If you're coming from out of town and hoping to visit Washington DC or Northern Virginia as well, Dulles is also an option (about a 2 hour drive).
Due to capacity of the venues, space is limited. Please refer to your invitation which will be shared closer to the date and indicate all invited guests.
While we adore the little ones, this as a kid free affair! We want to ensure that everyone can relax and enjoy the celebration.
While the dress code is black tie optional, we are mindful of the August weather and encourage attire that allows you to enjoy the festivities with ease. Feel free to wear a formal evening gown, a chic cocktail dress, or a stylish jumpsuit. Lighter fabrics like chiffon, silk, or crepe can be ideal for staying cool. A tuxedo is always a classic choice for black tie, but if you prefer a slightly more relaxed look, a suit with a tie or bow tie is perfectly appropriate. Consider lighter fabrics, like linen or a light wool blend, to beat the heat. Only a short ceremony will take place outside, weather permitting, so we will have you in the AC in no time! Above all, we want you to feel confident and comfortable while celebrating with us, so please dress in a way that makes you feel great!
Busses will be provided from the two hotels where we've secured room blocks (The Draftsman and Holiday Inn Pantops) promptly at 5:00 pm with two return trips later in the evening (10:00 pm and 12:00 am).
