Doug and Judy met the way many couples do these days: online. Their first date was a bike ride on an unseasonably warm day in late January. They rode down Broad Street to Philadelphia's FDR park before enjoying burgers on Passyunk Ave, then returned to Judy's apartment to listen to music. That year, the Eagles won the superbowl, Judy PR'd a 10 mile race, and Doug started his design business out of his studio apartment in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood. It was a great time to be in Philly. But when they both felt a pull towards Lancaster the following winter, they knew it would forever be the city where the met; and Lancaster would always be the place where they belonged.
