Lisa and Nichole met while working at Groupon in Chicago. Nichole would tell her Mom about the "outspoken, opinionated, loud girl from Boston" that annoyed her at work. After the first few days of Lisa grilling Nichole as to how she was from the Midwest, Lisa invited Nichole to a restaurant opening and the rest was history. Little did she know that the “brash Boston chick” would become one of her very best friends. They've traveled across the country, and a few countries together on both planned and extremely spontaneous, leave in a few hours kind of trips too. At some point while speaking with Lisa, she will brag/let you know that she is responsible for Nichole’s love of red wine and sushi!

Sweet Gabby! That is her nickname for a reason as Gabby is the sweetest soul you will ever meet! After joining Gabby's bible study, Gabby made it her mission to welcome and become best friends with Nichole - and that's exactly what happened. It all began over 2 years ago with walks after work, to now spending almost every weekend together. Gabby has become a staple person in Nichole's life, and is a constant reminder of grace & kindness! Gabby & Nichole have devised a strategic plan to have their children marry so they can all be in-laws together of the most beautifully ethnic mixed babies - and trust us, it's going to happen!

Linds and Nichole met at The University of Iowa through Lindsey's now husband, AJ, and it was pretty much a bestie at first sight. After college they tried the whole "long-distance" thing as Nichole roamed the country for a couple of years, however Lindsey would not have it - so to her surprise Nichole finally moving back to Chicago. These two lived up some the best parts of ChiTown, and spent their early twenties in style enjoying the best nightlife and restaurants the city has to offer! Never short on hilarious (and often inappropriate) jokes, Lindsey is 100% herself and makes no apologies for it!

Steph, Nichole's only native Iowan bestie from the University of Iowa. Age 17 - Steph, and 19 - Nichole, just 2 little babies starting out their Hawkeye journey together. Whether it was the passing back of Nichole's asian fake id to her blonde/white friend (which somehow worked), the countless hours of Twilight watching, the endless amounts of mesa pizza/sonic/taco johns, or all the times Steph helped (let’s be real, did) Nichole’s math homework in college - these two have always shared an unbreakable bond.

Camp. Brett and Camp really solidified their friendship with countless trips up and down I-75 throughout college! Whether it was a long weekend enjoying the college town atmosphere of Statesboro, or a fun time in Downtown Atlanta, Brett and Camp made a ton of memories. It is only through this unique experience that their true bond could be forged, one that goes on to this day!

Ade has been the MAN since Brett moved to Denver! Brett has been so fortunate to have a friend who inspires him to be a better person simply by being himself. Also, Ade is the most unreal hype man ever and always down for an adventure! Whether it's camping, games in the park, or finding the best brands on instagram, Ade is always Mr. Reliable!
AJ Renfrow

AJ, also lovingly known as Bear - Came to Carrollton in 6th grade and he and Brett played ball together through the rest of high school. They even played against each other in their first collegiate baseball game! Between playing ball, fishing, golfing, and building fences together, Brett and AJ have grown closer over the years and a ton of shared life experiences forever link these two fellas!

Michael, otherwise known as MOB. Michael spent the better part of 3 years explaining to Brett the basics of life and how the world works! He and Brett have enjoyed many "spirited" discussions on everything from economics to music, rarely ever agreeing on anything, but always enjoying the conversation! Michael can always be counted on for advice that comes from the heart! Michael, Brett, and Bernie all started at GreenSky together and all three share a brotherly connection to each other.
