The Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma (Cathedral of St. Mary of Palma), more commonly referred to as La Seu (a title also used by many other churches), is a Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral located in Palma, Mallorca, Spain. Designed in the Catalan Gothic style but with Northern European influences, it was begun by King James I of Aragon in 1229 but only finished in 1601. It sits within the old city of Palma atop the former citadel of the Roman city, between the Royal Palace of La Almudaina and the episcopal palace. It also overlooks the Parc de la Mar and the Mediterranean.
Well-marked bike lanes can be found along some of the larger avenues in Palma but perhaps the most liberating is the expansive front line bike path that winds along Palma's Paseo Marítimo going south to El Arenal. It is a nice, flat bicycle ride passing by La Seu Cathedral, Portixol and Playa de Palma. Break up the route by stopping for a drink and a swim. Or cycle over to Santa Catalina, through Son Espanyolet and around Son Dureta. There are bike rentals everywhere and it's a great way to explore the different beaches.

Rumored to serve one of the best seafood paellas in Palma de Mallorca, Restaurante Ca’n Manolo is a low-key establishment specializing in Mediterranean and Mallorcan cuisine. It is a firm favorite, with diners coming here as much for the friendly, attentive service and value for money as for the superb seafood. Of particular note is the so-called ‘blind’ paella, where the seafood is served without shells. The tables fill up quickly in the evenings, so advance booking is advised.
