Both of us were fresh out of college and had come home after all of our senior year shenanigans. We had met previously through the maid of honor, Kayla. She went to high school with Brandon, and played softball with me. We had been to several parties and events but neither one of us was single at the same time through high school or even through college. The summer after graduating college, Kayla happened to have an extra ticket to an Angels Baseball game and invited me along to catch up since we hadn't seen each other in such a long time, being that I went to college on the east coast. Brandon also happened to be tagging along for the game. Brandon and I sat down next to each other for the game and you would think we hit it off right away but we didn't. Kayla decided to insert herself between us because she wanted to catch up with me. Which I didn't object to at the time but that didn't exactly let sparks fly. Brandon said maybe two sentences to me the entire night and we went our separate ways. About two weeks later, through the power of the internet, Brandon slid into my Instagram DM's and asked me out on a real date, the date you see above. He had to wait patiently for that date being that I had two week long back-to-back vacations planned. We finally got to go on that date and the rest is history. We hit it off immediately. It was a simple sushi date with lots of laughs and a romantic end to night at the top of Haven in Rancho watching the sun set over the inland empire. It was perfect. We didn't make it official right away but July 30th, 2017 we finally did and now here we are. You could say the date went really well to say the least.
