Question

Do I need to rent a golf cart?

Answer

The best way to get around Harbour Island is by golf cart, so we highly recommend renting one during your stay. They can be pre-arranged through your hotel or home rental. *While visiting The Other Side during the Beach Day and the wedding event, Romora Bay allows free parking for The Other Side.

Question

Is Harbour Island part of Eleuthera?

Answer

Harbour Island is a small cay off the northeastern tip of Eleuthera. The island is home to miles of soft pink sand beach, pastel painted colonial cottages, a lively restaurant scene and quaint boutiques, making it one of the most sought-after destinations in the Bahamas!

Question

When should I book my travel?

Answer

There are limited flights per day into the North Eleuthera International Airport (ELH). It is recommended to book your flight in advance for the best availability. The same goes for booking your accommodations. Harbour Island is a small island and places do book up. For the best options and availability, it is recommended to not wait until the last minute to book. We suggest booking six months out.

Question

What is Island Formal?

Answer

Think a step up from cocktail but not quite traditional formal. Gentleman, think sport coats or lightweight suits (summer suiting and breathable fabrics encouraged). No Ties! Ladies, Keep in mind there is a short boat ride to/from Romora Bay dock to The Other Side when considering your dress and dance grass and hardwood when choosing footwear.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

A Bathing Suit!! When packing for the wedding weekend, please keep in mind most events will take place outside. It is important to consider the hot Bahamian sun during the day and the cool ocean breeze during the evening. For the welcome party, it's the islands..please come as you are with shoes that can be taken off in the sand! For the wedding, Island Formal is requested. For men, please plan to wear a sport coat to the ceremony, with pants. For women, plan to wear a nicer, yet island appropriate, dress or outfit. The ceremony and reception will be on grass turf, please consider your shoes!
