Flight

SMF: Sacramento International Airport

Sacramento International Airport is the closest to fly into & only about 10 minutes from downtown. If you don't plan to rent a car for the weekend, you can easily use Uber/Lyft to get around (ceremony, events, activities). From SMF to downtown will typically cost $20-30. You can also get downtown via SacRT bus. Route 142 runs an express bus service from the airport to downtown. The airport express shuttle bus runs every 20-30 minutes, 7 days a week, and is only $2.50/person

Flight

SFO: San Francisco International Airport

For those wanting to explore more of Northern California or to compare pricing, you can also consider a flight into SFO (San Francisco International Airport). There are bus & train options from San Fran to Sac, or you could rent a car and make the 1.5 hr drive up (maybe a stop in Napa along the way! Wine not?) The Amtrak train takes about an hour and 45 minutes to an hour and 55 minutes, but there are 9 trains a day and it will run about $25-35/person. Bus line 292 takes about 3.5 hours and costs $21 - $28.

For those with Marriott points, this is your best option. Rooms in Downtown are very limited due to a big conference that week. We recommend booking ASAP! The Citizen is an elegant building from the early 1900s. Every room is different. Find a cozy home or apartment to share with friends or family on Airbnb (or VRBO). We can recommend certain neighborhoods to stay in (shout out to Midtown if you want to be centralized). Traffic

With the ceremony being held on a Friday please make sure to plan accordingly for Friday afternoon traffic from the city to our venue. It's usually about a 15-20 minute drive/Uber, but may be closer to 30-35 minutes at that time of day.
