Wedding Party

Kim

Bride

She's a sassy and hardworking beauty. She's as comfortable tending to a baby as she is shoveling elephant manure. She's trained massive behemoths, a hyperactive mutt and her soon to be other half. She's an aficionado of Friends, Psych, The I.T. Crowd and jigsaw puzzles who's as dangerous of an opponent in Trivial Pursuit as she is in Catan. While she's spent the majority of her life in the city, she's most at home in front of the ocean or far from society in the forest.

Houston

Groom

A true Renaissance man, Houston is as likely to be found in a wood-shop as he is baking in the kitchen. Whether hand crafting a delectable assortment of macaroons or demonstrating how to blow fire on a Valentine's Day date with his bride-to-be, Houston gives the most interesting man in the world a run for his money. He doesn't always drink beer, but when he does - it must be craft. Between his rugged good looks, wide range of talents, and sweetness with his nieces and nephews, Kim never stood a chance.

DeeDee Bishop

Matron of Honor

Kim's friendship with DeeDee began with Fish Camp at Texas A&M, traveled to New Zealand, and settled in Houston with roommate and dog co-ownership. Kim didn't know what she was missing without DeeDee in her life until she did, and she is never looking back! DeeDee is a precious gift from God and Kim is thankful for her friendship every day.

Taylor Baumgartner

Best Man

As the older brother of the groom, Taylor has always set the bar and lead the way for Houston. From high school football to Texas A&M University, Houston had it easy making big decisions. Now Taylor helps his little brother with his building projects, demonstrates fatherhood and being a serving leader in the household, and is always around to enjoy a good beer or whiskey.

Dawna Vicars

Matron of Honor

The oldest of the Putnam sisters, Dawna paved the way in many things - make up and hair cuts, fashion trends, attending Texas A&M, and breaking in boyfriends with a father of three girls by being the first daughter to get married. Always an involved sister and friend, Dawna continues to be a listening ear and source of encouragement, and is still paving the way by mothering three kids of her own like a boss.

Brady Baumgartner

Groomsman

As the little brother of the groom, Brady has been there through it all and would likely tell you all of Houston's more embarrassing stories so please don't ask him. He's crazy when Houston's serious, boisterous when Houston's uptight. The true definition of a brother, he supports, teases, encourages and always loves Houston no matter what.

Karen Turilli

Matron of Honor

The second of the three Putnam girls, Karen never got lost in the middle. Smart, sassy, and a little bad-assy, she has always been a source Kim could trust to hear the truth, and the one to go to for advice on fashion or decorating. Their shared love of pop culture and People magazine gave them a strange connection that makes them an unbeatable Pictionary team.

Greg Hamberg

Groomsman

Greg and Houston met in the spring of 2005 at Texas A&M before working together at a summer camp. The friendship first grew while studying at Denny's until 3am and continued while working together at Camp Ozark, hanging out while in the Brotherhood of Christian Aggies, and working together in Kuwait and then San Antonio.

Erica Hynes

Bridesmaid

From family Easter egg hunts as toddlers and midnight ice skating at the Diamond Mall in Anchorage, Alaska to new adventures in marriage and motherhood (Erica's, not Kim's!), Erica and Kim have shared a lifetime of memories. Some of the best are still being created as God has blessed these two Alaskans with living only a few hours apart in Texas.

Jacob Davis

Groomsman

Jacob and Houston met at Texas A&M while they were both pledges in a Christian men's group called the Brotherhood of Christian Aggies. After Taylor graduated and moved out, Houston needed to find a place to stay and was able to rent a room in Jacob's house. Over the next two years there was a lot of hanging out, playing videos games, talking about class and girls, cooking and sharing a french press.

Tiffany Baumgartner

Bridesmaid

After God, Tiffany gets credit for this marriage. It was pretty much her idea 6 years ago after Kim made a comment about loving books and mugs, a fact that would turn out to be a key commonality between she and Houston. Praise God! In addition to being a subtle matchmaker, throughout years of being in Bible study together Tiffany has also been a source of great encouragement to Kim and a wonderful inspiration of what it takes to be an all around amazing woman.

Sergio Gonzales

Groomsman

After Sergio joined the Brotherhood of Christian Aggies, he immediately bonded with Houston over a shared love of quality tequila. Sergio eventually moved into the house with Houston and Jacob and solidified himself as a friend for life during all those evenings smoking a tobacco pipe and playing pool, group dinners, commiserating over unrequited crushes (don't worry, we both found awesome women) and the other blessings and challenges of college.

Mona Madgavkar

Bridesmaid

Mona became Kim's first real friend in Texas after the two bonded over both being new to the state and "not getting it." Fast forward 19 years and they are still friends! Mona is without doubt Kim's most exotic and international friend whom Kim hopes will one day write a memoir about all of her globe-trotting adventures. Mona is talented, creative, and a rare gem of a friend for whom Kim is very thankful.
