Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Please DO NOT GPS the physical address, as it marks the location several miles to the south. From Vail, Breckenridge, and Keystone: Get on I-70 and head west From Beaver Creek: Get on I-70 and head east 1. Take the Minturn/Leadville exit 171 2. At the bottom of the ramp turn right onto Highway 24. You will proceed about 15 miles and the driveway will be on the left just past mile marker 159 and marked by Nova Guides signage. Once you turn into the driveway, follow it down to the Lodge. From Leadville 1. Head north out of Leadville, follow signs to turn left onto Hwy 24 West and travel 15 miles 2. The driveway is 9/10ths of a mile past mile marker 160. The driveway will be on the right hand side with a wooden entry and Nova Guides signage. Once you turn onto the driveway, follow it down to the Lodge.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Historically there is a high of 70 F and a low of 50 F. There is always a chance of rain, but it most often clears out within 30 minutes after it starts. The ceremony will be outside and reception in a tent with a heater.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

There is no hotel block, but Camp Hale is located 30 minutes south of Vail, which has many lodging options. Other cities close by with hotels, VRBO, or AirBnB options include Minturn, Beaver Creek, Avon, and Leadville.

What is the venue?

Nova Guides, 7088 US-24, Red Cliff, CO 81649 On the former grounds of Camp Hale in the Eagle River valley, where in 1942 the U.S. Army built a training facility for the 10th Mountain Division. Nova Guides now owns the property and hosts year round adventures on 4 wheelers and snow mobiles. Here is a drone fly over of the property. The island shown at the beginning is where the ceremony will be and the white tent is where the reception will happen. https://youtu.be/PKmxZ8tUXDk
