Travel Note

Transportation

While we encourage guests to stay at The Elms for convenience, you’re more than welcome to book accommodations elsewhere, whether in downtown Kansas City or nearby. Please note that we will not be providing transportation. Getting to The Elms from the airport or downtown KC via Uber or taxi is typically easy; however, return transportation can be more limited, so we recommend planning ahead. For guests traveling in, we suggest either renting a car or arranging transportation in advance. The Elms offers a shuttle service that can be reserved directly through the hotel for $90 per trip (perfect for groups to split). There are also private transportation options available, such as 5 Guys Transportation and SuperShuttle which offer pre-booked rides. Uber also has a reserve a ride option available to book. For those driving, complimentary self-parking is available at The Elms.

Flight

Flying in

The Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is the most convenient airport to fly into. From there, The Elms is about a 30-minute drive. Guests can rent a car, or take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to the hotel with ease. For return travel, we recommend arranging transportation in advance, as rideshare availability from The Elms can be limited. Please see the transportation section above for details on reserving a shuttle through the hotel.
