This is right around the corner from the Rathbone Mansions! One of our favorite bars in the city. You should go there for the bacon bloody Mary on Saturday.
We loved this place and it's just around the corner from the mansions. You can learn about the culture of Second Lines, Social Aid and Pleasure Clubs, Mardi Gras Indians and more, and get really up close to those costumes, they are incredible. And if you're lucky someone will offer you a yellow beer out of a cooler stashed under a table. ***very sadly the Backstreet Museum suffered severe damage during Hurricane Ida and are currently closed. They need to build a new building and are accepting donations: https://www.backstreetmuseum.org/new-building-fundraiser
BBQ YUM.
Dave is probably going to find a way to get you here at some point during the weekend so maybe doesn't even need to be on this list.
Spooky Scary. Learn about Nicolas Cage's house. 10/10 would do again.
Here you can see where Dave took Justine to see the Sea Otters as a surprise on her birthday. You will squeal.
We make sure to make it to happy hour here at least once every time we are in town. It's a true delight.
For a nice dinner.
Come for the people watching, stay for the frozen Irish coffee. This where Dave proposed spending Valentines Day together on their first trip - big move - he took her to see The Princess Bride.
Live music in the wine garden every night. This is where Justine asked Dave if it would be OK for them to be Facebook friends. It was 2016.
This is Dave's favorite Po'Boy spot.
This is Justine's favorite Po'Boy spot.
This is just a lovely museum.
*this is the top attraction in NOLA, maybe the country? We have never been but would heartily recommend based upon other people's opinions.
