Please refer to our travel page for hotel and airport information!
There are 3 smaller airports in the surrounding area, and all are within an hour of Lynchburg. We recommend you check out all 3 to find the best rates and times that work for you. The closest airports include: Lynchburg Regional Airport, Roanoke/Blacksburg Regional Airport, and Charlottesville Albemarle Airport. There is also Richmond International Airport (2 hour drive) if interested.
Please try to coordinate with other guests about getting to the venue as much as possible. There are also various rental car services in the area. The venue is in a more secluded area, and there is a very small bridge on the way that large buses have a difficult time getting across. Because of this, we are unable to provide shuttle services. Keep in mind on your way to the venue that the road looks like it is going to the middle of nowhere, we promise you are not going the wrong way, just keep going until you reach West Manor!
Our venue has a large, paved parking lot right outside that can fit everyone's cars! If you feel uncomfortable driving back to your hotel or home, the venue allows overnight parking for guests.
The ceremony will be taking place at 5pm. We encourage you to arrive at least 30 minutes before so there is plenty of time for everyone to be seated and we can start on time!
Yes! Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all at the West Manor! The address is, 3594 Elkton Farm Dr. Forest, VA 24551.
All of our wedding events are taking place indoors in a climate controlled building. We figured it was probably a bad idea to have our wedding outdoors in the heat of August (HAHA).
We kindly ask that our ceremony be "unplugged". This means no photo or video during the ceremony so that we can all be present in the moment. We have an incredible photographer taking photos that we will share with all of our guests. During the reception, we welcome photos and video all night long! Feel free to post on social media and tag us or #HortonMarriesAWho so we can see them all!
We have kept in mind that many of you have significant others that you are not married to. We have taken that into account and have counted most, if not all of those people into the guest count. That being the case, if your invitation is addressed already to you and your guest you may bring a plus one. We will approve plus ones on a case by case basis, otherwise we ask that you travel with other invited family and friends. For families: We did our best to make sure everyone in your family was accounted for. If there has been a mistake or the website will not allow you to RVSP for everyone in your family, please reach out to us! If you have any questions please reach out to us! The dress code for our wedding is formal/black tie optional. Examples of this dress code are, for men, a suit with a shirt and tie (if you do not wish to wear a tuxedo); for women, a floor-length gown, mid-length dress, knee-length cocktail dress, or a pantsuit. We do ask that women refrain from wearing white or black as those are the colors reserved for the bride and bridesmaids. Thank you!
We plan on taking all RSVPs online through this website! Once you receive an official save the date or invite, you may return to this website and click on the RSVP tab to let us know if you can attend! If you have any troubles with the website, you can contact Chris and Janna directly and we can RSVP online for you.
