Sarah and Nicole's bond became inseparable during driver's ed as they both recognized in each other an unhealthy interest in renowned British boy band One Direction. Over the course of 10+ years of friendship, they've eaten and baked countless sweet treats, attended a plethora of movies, been to all the concerts they could afford, and have thousands of incredibly niche inside jokes. While One Direction may no longer be together, their magic will always live on in this friendship, no matter how fast the night changes. Sarah is truly lucky to have someone she considers a sister by her side on this day, even though she is not marrying any of the celebrities on their shared "hot list" from high school.

Best Man

Tim is Brett's father, best-man, and the only person on this list that has known Brett for as long as he's been alive. As a two-year old, Brett once dove head-first into the pool, and had to be grabbed out by the ankle by his dad before his attempted self-drowning was completed. Unaware, confused, and probably crying, this story would serve as an example of all the times he would be there for Brett as he figured out his way through life. Weekend soccer games, dad's day bike rides, lung surgeries, you name it, Brett's dad was there. Brett is honored to have his dad standing by his side as his best-man, and couldn't be more grateful for an amazing, loving, and self-sacrificing person. Thanks for everything, Dad.

No one quite understands Sarah's penchant for a good prank like Kennedy. After meeting in college, this duo became a unified front and a threat to all who are naturally rather gullible. Kennedy is an incredibly caring soul and the best hostess with the most-est that Sarah knows-est. Over their 6 year roommate-ship, Sarah is thankful for always having someone to watch Impractical Jokers with, for having a built-in late night shopping buddy, and for the shared memories within the pandemic, with Peaches (the cat), and all the moments in between that seemed mundane but are now precious memories. Once all this wedding hooplah is over they simply must return to their old stomping grounds in Disneyworld!

Brett met Alex during their time at Georgia Tech through a campus ministry, and the two quickly became close friends. Whether it was late-night walks or just navigating college life together, Alex was a constant source of encouragement and humor. He’s the kind of friend who shows up, supports wholeheartedly, and always brings good energy. Brett is grateful to have him standing beside him on such an important day!

Anna and Sarah have been mistaken for sisters more than once and while they are not actually related, they are kindred spirits in many ways. They both have a vice for chocolate, old CD's in the car, trashy reality tv, and they both prefer their smores without marshmallows. Think of it as a "chocolate sandwich". Anna is one of the friendliest people you will ever encounter. She's the life of the party with a heart of gold and can remember early 2000's references like no one Sarah has ever met before! Sarah's so thankful to have her support all the way from Savannah and is looking forward to visiting her again so that they can go to Big Bon's Bodega Bagels & Coffee Fox!

Alex Moerschbacher, also known as the better half of "Bralex", is one of the founding members of "Bralex's Back-Country, BuckWild, Tractor-Towin' Kickback" (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXmg8u1m9QQ&list=RDlXmg8u1m9QQ). Other than his future wife Sarah, there is no one else Brett would rather attach his name to. Beyond the kickbacks, he’s been a loyal friend to Brett. Alex has always been ready with good advice, or a funny story, depending on what's happening at the local Ship & Anchor pub in Dunwoody. Brett’s pumped to have him as part of the crew on such a big day!

Clare is one of Sarah's first friends and with that comes a lot of funny memories that she's happy to store in her memory forever. When Clare traveled to Europe for half a school year, Sarah patiently waited for her to email updates on her Webkinz cow and to ensure she hadn’t broken her arm yet again. Now that Clare lives in Charleston, she feels the same way whenever she posts on Instagram. It's rare to have someone who stands by your side in every phase of life, but she's lucky to have a lifelong friend who has constantly brought joy with every cup of coffee, long walk, or basement binge session of American Horror Story.

Brett met Tommy through his now-fiancée, Erin, and quickly realized he’d gained a lifelong friend. Whether he's hitting the tennis courts or cheering on Auburn football with unwavering enthusiasm, Tommy brings energy and heart to everything he does. As the one person Brett can always count on for a quick trip to Harrah's, his competitive spirit is only matched by his loyalty and sense of humor, and Brett’s grateful to have him as one of his groomsmen!

Without Becky, Sarah and Brett would not be together! While Brett and Becky met in high school, Sarah and Becky met during their first entry-level role at a marketing agency where the business model was borderline criminal. Nothing bonds two coworkers like overtime and the whispered vent sessions that happen when no one is looking. While the working conditions were questionable, Sarah is BEYOND thankful to have met someone who has helped her further both her career and relationship (as she referred Sarah to both her current job AND future husband). Becky is a wonderful kind soul who will do anything for her friends, including listening to 67247525 hours of voice memos from across the pond. We're so excited to have her coming all the way from the UK for our special day!

Thomas, Sarah's brother, is loud, proud, and always ready with a joke to keep everyone laughing. His sense of humor and infectious energy bring life to any room, and as Sarah can attest, he’s the kind of guy who’ll keep the fun rolling all day long. Sarah has had lots of fond memories growing up with Thomas as her brother, and Brett is excited to start making memories with Thomas as his future brother-in-law. Stick around after the wedding, Thomas will be performing a one-man show on his guitar for all the guests, but most importantly, Nicole!

Jenna is one of Brett's two sisters, and for the longest time, the only sister Sarah got to meet while her twin, Caroline, lived in Texas. Upon Sarah's first meeting of them both, she exclaimed "Wow! You two look so similar!". Sarah had just discovered the genetic mutation that science would one day come to call, "identical twins". Throughout their many times meeting since, Sarah would learn what an amazing, kind, and thoughtful sister Jenna was to Brett. Jenna happily accepted her role as one of Sarah's bridesmaids, and as the next member of the Horton's who will be getting married next year, feel free to ask her what she would "do differently in her wedding" when you see her in Newnan!

Chandler is Jenna’s fiancee, and while he and Brett may not have grown up together, Chandler has quickly become an important part of the group. With a quiet confidence and an easygoing vibe, he’s the type of guy who can make everyone feel comfortable without saying much at all. Brett is excited to have Chandler as a groomsman, and looks forward to having him by his side as they all celebrate this special day together!

Caroline, Jenna's identical twin sister, once had her arm broken by Brett during an intense childhood game of "Flying Baby". Now one of Sarah's bridesmaids, she has been quoted as saying "If Sarah hurts Brett, she'll be the one in the cast next". As one of the farthest traveling members to be attending our wedding, (we do not recognize England's sovereignty as a country, sorry Becky), Sarah is very grateful to have her as part of the wedding party. If it wasn't for Caroline, Brett and Sarah wouldn't have had an amazing tour guide for their first (but certainly not last) Texas Rodeo. Despite the physical distance, Caroline has always been a great sister to Brett, as someone who's been there for all of his ups and downs. Here’s to making even more memories and laughing over the twin mix-ups!

Jake and Brett met volunteering together at their local church where they bonded quickly. Whether they’re leading discussions or just having a laugh after a long night, Jake’s supportive nature makes him an incredible friend, and an even better groomsman. Brett is excited to have Jake by his side, and can’t wait for all the fun moments in the future as they both continue to get pushed around by people half their age!
