What health and safety measures will you be taking during the event?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with you on our big day. In the interest of ensuring the safety of all guests, especially those with health conditions, we kindly ask that you take a Rapid Antigen Test to confirm a negative COVID-19 result on the morning of our wedding. We know this creates an additional inconvenience, and we are deeply grateful to you for taking this additional step to help protect our guests.

What can we expect at Climbing Bines?

Answer

We will be holding the ceremony outside (cross your fingers), and the reception inside. The ceremony will be held in a mostly-flat field, and you'll walk across a stone lot to get to the reception. Wear shoes you feel comfortable walking on grass! Get there early for a pre-ceremony drink!

Will there be camel parking?

Is the reception at the same place as the venue?

Answer

Yes!

Do we have to wait for the ceremony to get the party started?

Answer

Heck no. Get to the venue early and the parking attendant will show you to the silos, where you can get a pre-ceremony drink!

If we're staying at the Microtel Penn Yan or the Hampton Inn Penn Yan, do we have to drive ourselves?

Answer

Nope! We'll provide a shuttle to/from the ceremony/reception. Climbing Bines is a craft brewery and we'll have local wine, so leave the car at the hotel and come party!

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

No shirt, no shoes, no service. Wear what you'll be comfortable in in the summer heat - the ceremony will (cross your fingers) be outside, and the reception will be in an indoor/outdoor location. Wear shoes you can walk through the grass in! Garden/Cocktail Attire: Wear sundresses, floral prints, and suits in lighter hues.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

As Andrew and Kate have learned and like to joke: "lake effect." What does that mean? No one seems to know. We're hoping for a nice, sunny, warm day, but be sure to check the weather before you leave to see what you'll need.

If I don't want to take the free shuttle so I can party to my fullest, is parking available?
