We met through Bumble! If you don't know what that is, you never had to deal with online dating - lucky you! Andrew's profile had pictures of him carving pumpkins, drinking beer, and sporting a beard that Kate just couldn't resist. He talked about wanting to be a race car driver and his love of hiking, two things Kate wasn't too sure of (would we have to camp when hiking...?), but his love of dive bars drew her in. Both sharing a passion for dive bars (who doesn't love sticky floors and questionable glassware - this was pre-COVID, mind you), they settled on The Tam in downtown Boston. Their first date got off to a rocky start...Kate was late, and ran right past Andrew on the sidewalk while staring at his profile on her phone so she'd know who he was when she walked in. It wasn't long, however, before the two fell into a rhythm and realized Bumble may have finally worked. Four years, 17 weddings, a free trip to Lisbon, almost moving to Manhattan, KS, actually moving to Rochester, NY, adopting a sweet mutt dubbed Monster, a global pandemic, too many brewery visits for doctors to be comfortable with, and buying our first home later...we're getting married!
