The RSVP deadline is August 25, 2023. If you are able to RSVP early, Emily will be forever grateful! If we do not have a response by September 1st, we will mark you on our list as not attending, and you won't have a seat at the ceremony or a meal at the reception. We want you to be comfortable and enjoy dinner, and that can only happen if we and the venue know you're coming!
Absolutely! Please list any allergies or dietary restrictions you might have when you RSVP under the meal selection option. We have two meat options, one vegetarian, but El Monte Sagrado is very accommodating if there is anything else you need!
Yes, El Monte Sagrado has a parking lot that will be free for hotel guests and $12/vehicle/day for other wedding guests. The hotel is relatively walkable to downtown Taos if that's where you are staying (~1/2 mile), but it is a very rural town so the street lighting is minimal. We would like to say that Uber is a dependable option, but there are very few drivers in the area because of the small population. The area is safe, but still, please be careful if you choose to walk back to your hotel in the dark! We recommend carpooling and parking at the hotel if you can, but please do so safely!
Our ceremony and reception will be a gathering of close family and friends. Each person invited is very dear to our hearts. With this in mind, we have included all family and significant others on your invitation if accounted for in our guest list. That being said, if an individual's name does not appear on your RSVP form, we are very sorry but they have not been invited. Please let us know if you have questions and thank you for understanding!
Not a great answer - but come prepared! Fall in New Mexico is absolutely lovely... most of the time. During the day you can expect sun and temperatures between 60-70°F, but at night the temperature will drop significantly (~32°F), sometimes below freezing. NM can be unpredictable. For reference... on October 7th last year, it snowed at our venue. Please be mindful that this is a possibility, check your weather apps before you travel, and pack accordingly! We have contingency plans in case of a blizzard or downpour, but we do plan on having our ceremony and cocktail hour outside assuming the weather is normal. Another note, our venue is at 7,000 ft in elevation. Please be aware of this as you may feel less hydrated, have dryer skin, sunburn more easily, or become intoxicated more quickly if you are used to living closer to sea level!
