We want to thank all of you for the part you have played in our lives. This day is so incredibly special to us, and we are overjoyed at the opportunity to celebrate with our favorite people by our side. We can't tell you how much your love, well wishes, and prayers over us mean, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you in July!
Hope and Gino grew up living about 30 minutes from one another and went to neighboring schools. Throughout the 18 years until high school graduation, they had only heard about one another through mutual friends, but had never met. For college, Hope had planned to go to Princeton University, but covid caused Princeton to change to an entirely online forum. About two weeks before classes started, Hope decided to transfer to Muskingum University, where Gino was already planning to attend. Gino majored in athletics communication at Muskingum, where he also played baseball which took up most of his free time. Hope was a chemistry major. Throughout the first two years at Muskingum, the two never seemed to cross paths. It wasn't until finals week during their second year that they met. Unfortunately, they met just a few days before the school year ended, but fortunately they lived very close to one another. They spent their first summer together going on dates occasionally, but mostly at the baseball field where Gino played for the OVBL league and Hope attended every game of his that she could. By August, Hope was anxiously waiting for Gino to ask to be official. On August 9, 2022, he asked her to be his girlfriend. She always made fun of him because when he asked he simply said, "Well, will you?" and she said, "Will I what?" "Be my girlfriend?" he asked. Her answer, of course, was yes! The two have been together ever since. When Gino decided to propose, he made sure to ask the question in its entirety, "Will you marry me?" and of course, Hope said yes to that too!
