FAQs

The Wedding Website of Hope Vander Meiden and Andrew Booth
Here are answers to a few questions we think might come up as you plan your trip. If you need anything more, please feel free to reach out to Allie Vander Meiden (Hope’s mom) at +1 (909) 534-0992. She’s happy to help or point you in the right direction. For any specific international travel needs, you can also reach out to Andrew at +1 (801) 400-2753 or on Facebook. We want you to have all the information you need as you share this special time with us!
Question

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

While this isn’t a tuxedo-and-gown–required event, it is a very dressy occasion. The bridal party and immediate family will be in formal attire, and guests are invited to join us in dressing up for a beautiful evening. Think elegant, polished, and celebratory; something you’d feel great wearing to a lovely night out. Hope and Andrew know this will help the evening feel special. Men might choose slacks with a dress shirt or sport coat; women may prefer dresses, skirts, or dressy jumpsuits. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but this particular event is a formal sit-down dinner followed by dancing, and it’s not an evening most children would enjoy. To keep the atmosphere comfortable for everyone, we kindly ask that any children under 16 years old stay at home. The only children attending will be close family members and members of the bridal party. If your child is invited, it will be clearly noted on your invitation. Thank you for understanding and helping us create a lovely, celebratory night for all.

Question

Are there any celebrations outside of Texas?

Answer

Yes. We’ll be hosting an open house in Utah on Saturday, May 16. It will be a more casual, come-and-go gathering where you can congratulate Hope and Andrew a week after the wedding. Since they both live in Utah, it’ll be a sweet chance to celebrate with friends and family closer to home. We’d love to see you there!

Question

Why is my RSVP important? What should I do if my plans change?

Answer

We are so grateful you’re celebrating this special day with us! Because this will be a formal, seated dinner, your RSVP is truly important. Each reply directly determines our guest count for the meal, seating, and the special experiences we’ve planned for the evening. If you RSVP “yes,” we reserve your seat—and the hosts pay for your dinner and place setting whether you attend or not. We completely understand that unexpected things can happen, but if your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible. Your communication helps us care for our vendors, plan responsibly, and ensure everything runs smoothly. Thank you for helping us make this a beautiful, joy-filled celebration for Hope and Andrew!
