After connecting online and chatting while Hope was away at a writer's conference, Hope and Nathan finally met up in person at a Chinese restaurant. He was shy. She was too chatty. Thinking that this was not the same personality she'd seen online, Hope suggested they move on to grab a drink after dinner and it was there they actually got to talking. They both ordered Angry Orchards and things relaxed. Nathan walked Hope to her car and said goodnight. Hope was uncertain if he was interested. Consulting Ariel, she said "if he messages, I'd see him again". Unseen by Hope as she pulled out of her parking space, Nathan skipped back to his car. And yes, he did message right away. Just a few weeks later, he was sure they'd get married some day. Hope took a little while longer...
