Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Natalie Hoover and Danny Buckel
HERE ARE SOME OF OUR FAVORITE SPOTS IN ATLANTA!
Piedmont Park

Piedmont Park

Atlanta, GA

Highly recommend walking around the Green Market on Saturday morning (9 am-1 pm)! Get the Danny & Nat special - a Blue Donkey iced coffee & a pita fatoor from Marrakech. The park is also great for a walk, run, bike ride, etc. and it's right at the end of the beltline.

Walk the Beltline

Walk the Beltline

Atlanta, GA

The beltline connects lots of fun activities! You can start in Piedmont Park and walk to Ponce City Market, or keep going and you will reach Inman Park & Krog Street Market. Other great food/drink spots along the way: rooftop bar at the Forth Hotel, 3 Parks Wine, Burle's Bar, Bantam, Rina's. Beware of crowds if you decide to use an e-scooter or bike - it gets pretty packed with pedestrians after ~11am.

Ponce City Market

Ponce City Market

675 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30308

Lots of good food and shopping! Highly recommend Bibi's or Botiwalla for lunch. Shops include Anthropologie, Sephora, Madewell, Glossier, J Crew, Lululemon, and more. There is also a rooftop restaurant (9 Mile Station) and a rooftop cocktail bar (12) with great views of the city.

Botanical Gardens

Botanical Gardens

1345 Piedmont Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

Check out the ATL botanical gardens! Located right in Piedmont Park, it's a beautiful & affordable day or night time activity.

Georgia Aquarium

Georgia Aquarium

225 Baker Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30313

ATL has the #1 largest aquarium in the United States! It's the only aquarium with whale sharks. Highly recommend checking it out early in the morning before it's filled with little kids.

Clermont Hotel

Clermont Hotel

789 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306

An iconic ATL hotel! Check out the rooftop bar for some great views of the city. Equally iconic is the Clermont Lounge (in the basement), Atlanta's first and oldest strip club established in 1965.

Virginia Highlands Neighborhood

Virginia Highlands Neighborhood

Atlanta, GA 30306

We like walking around here, grabbing a drink, and admiring the cute houses in the neighborhood. Recommend Kinship for coffee/breakfast sandwich, Dad's/Moes and Joes/Limerick Junction for drinking, and Virginia Highland Books + Green Flamingo for shopping.

Inman Park Neighborhood

Inman Park Neighborhood

240 North Highland Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30307

We love it here and we have lots of great restaurants/bars just off the beltline. You can't go wrong, but some of our favorites - Delbar is one of our favorite restaurants ever (need a resy ahead of time!), The Albert or Victory Sandwiches for lunch, Little Spirit for cocktails, Pure Taqueria for margaritas, and Harbor Coffee for coffee/pastries.

Krog Street Market

Krog Street Market

99 Krog Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307

Great spot for food on the beltline - our #1 fav is Michelin recommended Fred's Meat & Bread! A couple other good spots there - Varuni Napoli (pizza), Superica (Mexican), and Gu's Dumplings (Chinese). You can also grab a beer at Hop City while you're there.

High Museum of Art

High Museum of Art

1280 Peachtree Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

Great museum if you're an art fan (located in Midtown).

Little 5 Points Neighborhood

Little 5 Points Neighborhood

438 Moreland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307

Little 5 Points is a very edgy/hipster neighborhood - fun to walk around and pop into some vintage/secondhand shops. Check out Vortex Bar & Grill or the Porter Beer Bar for food/drinks.
