Deep Creek Lake has always held a special place in Taylor’s heart. Her great-grandparents, Bill and Dot Hrindac, bought a home here in 1980, and over the years it has been cherished by the Shipleys, Flynns, and Popes - a place where family gathers and makes memories together. Taylor grew up spending her summers boating and having campfires. When James started spending time at Deep Creek Lake with Taylor, he quickly fell in love with the area just as much as she had - from lunches at her favorite local spots to hikes at Swallow Falls State Park. For both of them, Deep Creek Lake isn’t just beautiful; it’s filled with family history. So it felt natural to choose a place that is so meaningful to them to celebrate their own love story - surrounded by friends, family, and the place that has shaped so much of Taylor’s life.
