Wedding Party

Please take a minute to get to know our wedding party and what they mean to us.

Katie Michaels

Maid of Honor

Katie is my first cousin and lives in Florida. As kids, Katie and her brother, Brandon (Groomsman) spent their summers in Sandusky. As Katie and I came into our teenage years, we began looking very similar. Many people thought we were sisters, or even twins! Strangers came up to me in Florida thinking I was Katie, and the same for Katie in Sandusky. Katie and I have loved and fought like sisters. She is one of the most considerate, selfless people I know, and I am so excited for her to stand by my side during one of the most important moments of my life.

Alex Slattery

Best Man

I met Alex during 6th grade, along with Marco (Best man) and Harry (Groomsman). Alex has been an inspiration for me for as long as I have known him. He was my driving force behind my move to technical school, studying IT in college, and recommended me for my current position at Hyland. He and I share countless interests, including video games, music, any outdoor activity, and many more. Alex is an adrenalin junky, you'll either find him hiking up a mountain, dirt biking, snow boarding, or wake boarding; all of which he has convinced me to try, and watch him do effortlessly. Though Alex currently lives (exactly) 1673 miles away, he is just one call or Skype message away. I am grateful to have Alex back in Sandusky, and even more grateful to have him standing with me on my wedding day.

Erica Itzkowitz

Maid of Honor

Erica, of course, is my one and only sister. As kids, Erica and I didn't always see eye-to-eye. But as we grew older, we found that our mom was right - we WOULD love each other some day! Erica moved to Florida in the summer of 2016, and has built a wonderful home for herself with her boyfriend, Alex, and their 3 dogs. Erica is an inspiration. She is ambitious, strong, and works harder than anyone I know. Erica will be an amazing Maid of Honor on our big day.

Marco Spadaro

Best Man

Marco, again, became my friend in 6th grade. Marco has always been the glue that has held "The Boys" together all of these years. We don't go a day, or even a few hours, without a check-in call. Marco and I share countless memories from our high school years, from riding around aimlessly in his black Impala, blasting Maroon5, to paint-balling and him captaining the Boston Wahler pulling whatever water sport we chose that day. I have been able to watch Marco meet, marry and begin his family with his wife, Katie, and their daughter, Little Addison... I mean Giuliana! I am honored to have Marco stand with me as I marry the love of my life.

Maya Schlessel

Bridesmaid

Maya is also my cousin. She lives in Columbus with her Golden Doodle, Memphis. She is finishing her degree at OSU. Maya has been working hard pursuing her culinary dreams through both social media, and her beautifully designed website, MayasMeals.com. Maya is one of the funniest, most kind-hearted people I know. Maya is an inspiration in more ways than one, and it means the world to me that she will be standing with me on September 14th.

Harry Brown

Groomsman

Harry and I became friends in 6th grade, but later found out that his uncle was my fathers best friend through childhood. Harry and his family seemed to always host the party. After school, "The Boys" would hang out in Mrs. Brown's room. His family also owned a local hotel, where we all would hang out, and get into trouble... not me of course! From paint-balling in the field to trying to "Dukes of Hazard" his old truck off of a make-shift ramp. Harry and I have grown and matured, immensely since those days. He and his wife, Andrea, recently began their family with their daughter, Little Addison... I mean Gwen! I could not be more proud of him and his accomplishments. I am honored that he will be standing with me on my wedding day.

Samantha Nesgoda

Bridesmaid

Sam is my oldest and best friend. Sam and I started riding the bus together in 7th grade. One day, Sam sat next to me on the bus, and began talking to me. Me being very quiet and shy, I mostly listened. Before I knew it, Sam and I were sitting together at lunch and having sleep overs. Sam and I remained friends through high school, and college. Though we tried to branch out, we continued to return to each other. Sam and I lived together our sophomore, junior, and senior year of college. Sam currently lives in Georgia with her fiancé Kurt, and their dog Gryffin. Sam is not only my best friend, but also a sister. I feel so lucky to have a friendship like ours and can't wait to look over and see her standing next to me on my wedding day.

Nick Traut

Groomsman

Nick is my oldest brother. As kids, Nick fulfilled his big dreams as a WWF wrestler using me and my brother, Alex. Being that Nick is 7 years older than me, he always had the advantage. Nick's interest in video games sparked my own interest in them, as well. Unlike wrestling, I was able to beat him at the games. To this day, Nick and I share many interests, including the latest technology, RC cars and planes, games, and many others. Nick and his wife Mary have two beautiful children, Elsy (flower girl) and Owen (ring bearer). It has been an honor to watch his family grow over the years. It'll be comforting to know that my oldest big brother will be standing with me on my big day.

Stephanie Pescatrice

Bridesmaid

I met Steph after high school, during our summer job at Cedar Point. Steph and I discovered that we were both headed for the University of Cincinnati in the fall. We exchanged the obligatory promise that we would be friends. Shortly after meeting, Steph began telling me all of her secrets, and we quickly became very good friends, for real! Our friendship continued to grow and strengthen through college. Steph and I always had a great time together, and even became workout buddies for a while. We share countless memories, and stories that even we have trouble believing! I was lucky enough to stand up with Stephanie and Vince during their wedding, and I am ecstatic to meet Baby P. in August. I am so grateful to have such a great friend standing by my side on September 14, 2019.

Alex Traut

Groomsman

Alex is my other big brother. Growing up, Alex and I "shared a bedroom" only because I was too scared to sleep alone. I swear I saw a ghost in our house!! Every night, we would watch a movie to fall asleep to. As kids, we often played basketball or baseball in the backyard. Alex and I have become much closer over the years, and I am lucky enough to have breakfast at our parents house almost every Sunday with him, his fiancée Katie, and their wonderful children Keegan (ring bearer) and Lennon (flower girl). I am so proud of the father Alex is to his children and the man he has become, I am very excited for him to be part of my big day!

Sarah May

Bridesmaid

I met Sarah while working at Famous Dave's at Cedar Point, which was the same summer that I met Addison. She is also Katie Spadaro's (bridesmaid) first cousin. Sarah was a student at Xavier in Cincinnati, and lived minutes away at school. Sarah and I began getting close during the winter of our senior year. Sarah has quickly become one of my closest friends. She is one of the sweetest girls I know and I am so thankful for our friendship. I am so excited for Sarah to be a part of our wedding.

Nathan Itzkowitz

Groomsman

Nathan is Andrea's younger and only brother. Nathan and I hit it off almost immediately, with our shared interest in cars, technology and our majors in college. Nathan and Andrea went to the same college, meaning that every weekend that I was with her, I was also with him. Nathan was the one that kept us out of the house on Friday and Saturday nights. Over the years, Nathan has become the little brother I never had. He is witty, funny, and always has a sarcastic thing to say. He can also burp the alphabet (legend has it, this would always get him in trouble as a kid). Nathan and his boyfriend, Austin, live in Columbus with their crazy dog, Louie. I am so excited that Nathan will be standing with me as I marry his big sister.

Katie Spadaro

Bridesmaid

Katie is the wife of Marco (Best man) and Sarah's cousin. When Addison and I first started our relationship, Katie and Marco immediately made me feel so welcome and involved me in their high school group. I have been lucky enough to watch Marco and Katie grow from boyfriend and girlfriend, to now starting their family with their beautiful daughter, Giuliana. Katie is such a caring, fun, enthusiastic person, and I feel honored that she will be standing up with me as Addison and I tie the knot!

Brandon Michaels

Groomsman

Brandon is Andrea's first cousin, and the brother of her Maid of Honor, Katie. I met Brandon while vacationing in Florida. Brandon is the type of guy that would give his shirt off of his back to help the ones he loves. Brandon made the brave journey from Florida to Ohio 2 years ago, though he keeps a bit of his Florida-spirit with his beloved car that would slide from a single snowflake. Brandon and I could talk for hours about anything and everything. Brandon is an inspiration with his work ethic, willpower, and mental and physical strength. I am so happy to have such a selfless person standing with me on September 14, 2019.

Natalie Romito

Bridesmaid

Natalie took me on as her student during my dietetic internship. She showed me the ropes, and encouraged me to apply for a job after graduation. We became colleagues and remained very professional, until one fateful day, when conversation went well beyond appropriateness for work. After that ice-breaking conversation, we spent endless hours sharing way too much personal information, venting, laughing, and singing made-up songs. One day, Natalie broke the heart wrenching news that she had accepted a position as the Cav's Wellness Coordinator. I was losing my mentor, office roommate, and friend. Luckily, we have beaten the odds, and remained friends after she left. I may have lost a coworker, but I gained a lifelong friend. I am so excited that she will be part of our wedding day.
