These are some of our favorite places in the area. It may seem like the middle of nowhere, but there's some pretty special stuff here!

This hike takes about 30 minutes (up) and is a 10 minute drive from Huntingdon. The view is absolutely stunning, but be warned...it is in fact 1000 steps, straight up!

Thousand Steps

Lake Raystown offers all sorts of outdoor activities, including biking, hiking, swimming and picnicking. It is about a 20 minute drive from Huntingdon.

Raystown Lake Seven Points Public Boat Launch

The arboretum is one of Penn State's most special treasures and a BEAUTIFUL place to visit in the summer. It's a 45 min drive from Huntingdon. After strolling through the gardens, you can pop over to the Creamery for some ice cream!

This is within walking distance of downtown Huntingdon and a fun, low-key place to bring kids.

Isett Community Swimming Pool

Best beer selection in town and with great food, featuring a variety of subs and sandwiches along with other bar foods. We eat here at least once a week.

Boxer's

This martini bar is Huntingdon's slightly fancier dining, though it offers both casual and fine dining.

Mimi's Restaurant

This lovely cafe, art gallery and garden is right in downtown Huntingdon!

Stone Town Cafe & Gallery

Another fun cafe in Huntingdon! This one has their own coffee beans and ground coffee for sale if you want to take something back home with you.
