Jomo's Ice Cream
The one and only, Jomo's!! A Rajewski family favorite ice cream shop hands down. We have spent many evenings stopping here after beach days and tubing trips, a Traverse City tradition, that's why it earns the first spot on the list!
Old Mission Peninsula
Travel up the peninsula for some beautiful views and amazing wine! You could take a wine tour or drive it yourself. I would suggest Bry's Estate, Bowers Harbor, or Peninsula Cellars - just to name a few!
Downtown Traverse City
Visit downtown TC for some fun shops and good food! The definite favorite being The Little Fleet Food Truck stop.
Bubba's
A favorite bar & grill located in downtown Traverse City. I will never forget the time Zach decided to box up 2 tater tots and a half a pickle - it was gone before we even got back to the campground!
Frankfort Beach
If you are up for the drive - Frankfort Beach is a cannot miss! It is the most gorgeous beach, rivaling beaches in Florida! We have spent lots of summers here soaking up the sun and jumping off the pier!
Moomers Homemade Ice Cream

Sleeping Bear Dunes
For the adventurers! Go see and climb the Sleeping Bear Dunes, a favorite summertime activity when camping. There is even a 450 ft dune with a 45 degree incline - if you're feeling motivated!
Cherry Republic | Traverse City
Traverse City is known for their cherries and all though our guests will miss the famous cherry festival you can still get some great cherry products at lots of local stores like this one!
Platte River
Weather permitting! Take a tubing trip down the Platte River! There are quite a few tube rental places. For those who don't know, when we say tubing that means float down the river in a raft (or truly anything that floats) and drink lots of beer! We have done it a time or 20.
Boone's Long Lake Inn
If you are looking for a night out, treat yourself to Boone's! The best steak and seafood around!
