Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium
If you’re coming to Omaha, this is definitely one of the top things to check out. Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium is ranked the #1 zoo in the country and it really is worth the visit. It’s great for kids, but honestly just as fun for adults too. We’ve been going for years and still enjoy it every time, so it’s an easy recommendation if you have some free time while you’re here.
Blue Sushi Sake Grill
Blue Sushi Sake Grill is really special to us because it’s where we had our very first date, it’s now our go-to for anniversaries, celebrations, or anytime we’re craving sushi. We are big sushi people and this is hands down our favorite spot in town. If you want to try one place we truly love, this is it.
The Old Market
You definitely have to check out the Old Market. It’s one of our favorite areas to walk around with tons of restaurants, bars, and local shops to pop into. We go on a lot of date nights down here and love just wandering around and exploring.
Fontenelle Forest
This spot is right next to our venue and is perfect if you want to get outside for a bit. Fontenelle Forest has great trails, pretty views, and is an easy way to spend a morning or afternoon outside. If you have kids, they also have a really fun treetop course they’ll love.
Capitol Arcade
If you’re looking for something fun to do, we definitely recommend checking out Capitol Arcade. It’s one of our go-to date night spots with a full bar and tons of games. We always have the best time here and love the vibe!
SPIN! Pizza
SPIN! Pizza is one of our go-to spots, especially because Andrew is a big pizza guy. We’ve had a lot of date nights here over the years and it’s always a great choice. In the summer, their patio is such a great place to hang out, and they’ve got great drinks too.
Hook and Lime
Hook and Lime is our favorite Mexican spot in town. We love coming here, the tacos are so good, and I'm a big margarita girl, and this place has some of the best margaritas in Omaha!
Laka Lono Rum Club
If you’re looking for a fun bar to check out, Laka Lono Rum Club is one of our favorites. It’s a hidden tiki bar tucked underground in the Old Market and it's such a cool spot to grab drinks!
