What should I wear?
Answer
Whatever makes you feel great! Semi-formal or fancy casual. Check the weather and plan accordingly. November in Tennessee can swing from ~30 degrees to ~70 degrees. The venue is covered, but partially open. If it’s cold, we plan to have a fire and heaters on standby — hand warmers, too. Coats and blankets are encouraged.

Can I walk or drive from the lodge to the venue?
Answer
Yes, both. Google maps will show you both paths and lodge staff can point you in the right direction. The walk is about 5 minutes or 0.10 miles up and down hills and across a footbridge over the lake. The drive is about 5 minutes or 1.5 miles.

Yes, there will be snacks during happy hour.

What’s for dinner?
Answer
Breakfast! That’s right — classic breakfast buffet foods. (Message Holly and Toby if you have a dietary restriction and we’ll do our best to accommodate you with tasty options. If that’s not possible, we’ll give you a heads up so you can decide if you want to bring your own specialty meal.)

Why aren’t my kids/best friend/mom listed on the invite?

Unfortunately, only named guests are invited. Nothing against y’all, but we had to make some tough choices. Why? The venue only accommodates 150 people, and, for example, Holly has nearly 100 first cousins.

Is my invite transferable to a relative?

Only if you’re family — Just give Holly and Toby a heads up.

Is this a religious wedding?

No, Holly and Toby are not religious, but we never turn down a prayer, good vibes or well wishes.

No. They’re prohibited in Tennessee State Parks.
