It's finally happening!

It was both of our first years at Keene State. I was a Freshman and he was a Junior. One Saturday night, my best friend Kaya had introduced us at a party. We chatted briefly and went back to talking to our separate groups of friends. We kept eyeing each other from across the room. It wasn't until we were matched together in a game of flip cup that the conversation flowed and the sparks started to fly. From that night on we spent almost every weekend together and the rest is history!

Almost 6 years later, I figured it was time to take the next step. Holly and I, along with our friends Tim and Danielle, took a motorcycle ride out towards Hampton Beach on June 12th, 2021. Our first stop of the morning was breakfast at the Secret Spot, where I was able to keep my nerves enough to choke down my breakfast preparing for the big moment. I was nervous enough, however, that I illegally parked and got a $100 parking ticket…. From there, we took a ride up the coast to Holly’s favorite place: Jenness Beach. She probably knew something was up at this point because I suggested we not only stop there, but that we should go for a walk on the beach as well. Tim and I had planned it out that he would suggest we stop so he and Danielle could get a picture taken, and then inevitably I would be up next. After their picture, I “reluctantly” posed for ours (which was really a video), forgetting to take my leather vest off in the process. For those that have seen the video, the vest removal and ring box retrieval was less than smooth, but hey she said yes anyway so I must have done something right, right?
