63 and sunny! The sun sets about 7:30pm and it’s darkish by 8:30.
Yes, if you have a 4x4. But there is parking at Bob Straub State Park and the walk to the beach isn't terrible. The park does close at 9pm so keep that in mind if parking there. There is also a small lot at Pacific and Sunset.
Just the bathrooms! We do have some outdoor heaters and a small fire pit. You might bring a blanket just in case and definitely a sweater or jacket.
It's probably 5 minutes from The Pelican.
There are restrooms at Bob Straub State Park.
Venues are crazy expensive and the beach is practically free, not to mention fun and beautiful. We aren't one of those go-into-debt-for-our-wedding couples. Plus it's our second marriage, we're a lot older than we were the first time we each got hitched, and we have a handful of kids! Aaron's family lives across the country and we do not get anywhere near enough time with them! And now that he lives across the state from HIS kids, we decided what we really want for our wedding is a weekend together with the people we love most in the world. Together. Sharing a house or two. All 29 of us. Plus, it wouldn't be the same without a few handfuls of our closest framily. So please, come. Come play on the beach with us. Come break bread with us. Come celebrate and laugh and cry tears of joy with us. Come spend the weekend with us because that's what we want to do with you.
We have reserved 2 AirBnb's for our 2 families which are right in town and just a few minutes from the wedding site.
We really wanted to have an intimate wedding celebration with our family and closest friends. Not to mention how expensive everything is when the word "wedding" is attached. Plus COVID has made everything so up in the air. Considering those three things, we decided it's best for us and everyone else to have a small wedding.
