We're getting married!

We met through the modern-day way of romance; we both swiped right! For the first real date, I asked Aaron to pick out something adventurous for us to do. We spent the night exploring Dallas from dinner in West Village to going to a Maverick’s game. After the game, we grabbed drinks at a nearby bar where they gave us postcards. We came up with the idea to ask each other questions on the card and bring the answers the next time we saw each other. This started our postcard tradition that continues to this day. We have collected postcards from all our adventures around the world whether we are together or apart.

We had talked about going to Europe together for years. In October 2021, we were finally able to go on our dream trip to Italy. While staying in Positano on the Amalfi Coast, Aaron planned for us to watch the sunset and then go to dinner. The sunset restaurant ended up being closed and he asked me to look up other places. Little did I know that he had bigger plans up his sleeves. We stopped to take a photo and a couple asked if we wanted our picture taken. This was the moment that Aaron surprised me with the proposal. Of course, I said “Yes!” To my surprise, the couple that took our picture were photographers that Aaron had hired. They spent the next hour with us taking photos all around Positano.
