Question

Is the venue outdoors?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. The vow renewal ceremony will be held inside the Basilica of St. Mary (a very old church in Old Town). Pews are roped off to maintain distance between families. The reception venue is also indoors, however there is an outdoor space for those who do not feel comfortable sitting next to others. Dinner will only be served indoors. Drinking is encouraged both indoors and out on the patio.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, semi-formal. Ball gowns and suits are not required, but please pick something you’d feel comfortable both attending Sunday church and dancing in. The bride will be wearing a sparkly white dress and the groom will he wearing a black tux and black tie. Try to avoid these two outfits. Bridesmaids will be in burgundy and groomsmen will have matching bow ties.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Look for your significant other’s name on the invitation. If it’s included, please bring him/her along! Many of you will have a plus one.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, we have arranged hotel room blocks to accommodate you. Find them under the “travel” tab. Check back soon for shuttle details!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. We’d like to give you the night off from parental duties. The only little humans you will see under 18 will be the bride’s nephews and niece.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, absolutely. We are aware of some dietary restrictions, but please reach out to the bride and groom to make sure everyone gets a meal they love.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we will have shuttles to transport our guests to and from the ceremony and reception. Shuttles will pick up at the Embassy Suites (walking distance from the Westin).

Question

Is there parking for the bar night, ceremony, and reception?

Answer

Yes. We will be providing shuttle service from the Embassy Suites to the ceremony and then to the reception. However, if you’d like to travel separately, parking lots at St. Mary’s Basilica can be found across from the church on S Pitt St, east of the church on Fairfax St, or south of the church on Royal St. Street parking is also available. There will be limited street parking at O’Connell’s Pub the night before the wedding. We encourage our guests to carpool, Lyft, or Uber. Can’t wait to see you there!
