We met at Pizza Hut (romantic, isn't it?). He was a cook and I was a driver. Cody was a pretty quiet person at work. Unless, our good ole State street crew was there!! When we first met, we did not pay much attention to each other (we were at work, duh). Plus, we were two of the very few people keeping that store together AND number 1 store in our area at that time (did not last long once our original "State Street" crew were gone). Cody eventually became a Shift Manager and essentially became one of my bosses ;). Now, Cody and I were the closing peeps almost every night. We started communicating more often due to working together almost everyday until god knows when. After awhile, we began hanging out outside of work. Our first date was a quick drive up to Tablerock (not for what you think, geez!). We sat in Cody's WRX, looking out at the city lights and just talked for hours.. it was the most relaxing and fun night we had in a long time. It was a night that we both needed in a stressful time in our lives (e.g. school, WORK, etc.). I eventually ended up transferring to our previous Assistant Managers, Jacobi's store. Cody stayed at State for a while and finally transferred to Michael's store (another previous Assistant Manager). Which to prove my point of "Pizza Hut is an underrated dating service" both Michael and Jacobi met at Pizza Hut as well. Anyways, then I brought my two pups (Gina and Aspen) and joined the Hofman, Watkins, and Werenka household (our two roommates). Oh, and our Ghostie (cat). We got engaged on January, 19, 2019! It was the perfect evening. Maybe not to some, as it was POURING rain. Cody got down on one knee (in the mud) and asked me the question I was longing to hear from him. He put so much effort into this event. It made it that much more special! He even captured the moment with a secret friend photographer of ours (every girls dream, right?!). I guess, we owe our love to Pizza Hut. ;)
