We met on the first day of culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu back in 2009. We were in the same class when we first began and some medical things happened to the both of us. So by the time came for our last couple of classes we were back in the same class. We even graduated together.
We decided to meet up at a Target to kinda shop around and then went to MOA and had lunch at Rainforest Cafe and what you don't do on a first date is complain about our Ex's. Which we did and we talked about what we wanted in life. John got me this cool shark hat from Hot Topic and after our first date John asked me out again. After our third date we decided to officially go out on 2.28.11
On our Anniversary John recreated our first date which was at the Rain Forest Cafe and had a wonderful dinner. After dinner we went to Dutchman's Deck Adventure Course to go on the Barnacle Blast zip line inside of Nickelodeon Universe. On the second platform John was waiting for Nikki who was spinning around. When Nicole finally got to the next platform John proposed to Nikki and went white as a ghost saying yes. John's words were "okay bbbyyyyyeeee" and ziplined down to the end of the course and waiting for Nikki who was crying of joy throughout the mall. Afterword's they went to Barely John's Brewpub to have a couple beers to end the night.
John and Nikki decided when John passed the NCLEX exam for nursing we would get married, then when things started to calm down we would do our wedding. When John got notified that he passed the NCLEX exam, we then started to apply for a marriage license and asked our friend Kelly if she would marry us. We chose to be married on Halloween cause it's our favorite holiday! We had a small group of family and friends to witness our marriage in a hotel room and had little treats afterwards. We had some of our friends stay and ordered pizza and played Cards Against Humanity.
It hasn't been fully two years since we said "I do" but we get to finally have our wedding. We can't wait to see everyone who is coming to support us on our special day. It's been a roller coaster of life events but we finally get to have our special day.
