FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 1PM. Please arrive at least 20-25 minutes early to allow time for parking and finding a seat.

Question

Is the ceremony and reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors, with easy outdoor access at the reception.

Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

We will not be providing shuttle service. Please arrange your own transportation to and from the venues. Ride-sharing/taxis are extremely limited in Estes Park. The YMCA is a short drive (approx. 15-20 minutes) from the church and ceremony in Estes Park. Parking is readily available on campus for our reception guests.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We request Semi-Formal attire. Think modest dresses, suits, blazers and slacks, or “Sunday Best”.

Question

What should I wear for September in Colorado?

Answer

September weather in Estes Park can be highly variable! We recommend checking the weather ahead of time and bringing layers. As the locals say, "if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes".

Question

Are there other “Mountain Stay” suggestions?

Answer

At an elevation of 7522, Estes Park sits much higher than where many of our guests call home. Between this and the added dry mountain air, it is highly recommended to drink plenty of water. More than you would think is necessary is the best suggestion we can provide! Please be mindful of wildlife as September is Elk Rut season and aim to stay at least 50 yards away.

Question

Can I bring a date or a "plus one"?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with you! To keep our event intimate and within the venue's capacity, we kindly ask that only the guests explicitly named on your invitation and RSVP link attend.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Absolutely!

Question

Any Downtown Parking and Transportation Suggestions?

Answer

If you plan to stay in or around downtown, be aware that parking can be limited, especially during the day. Estes Park has a free summer shuttle service that operates around town, including some stops near major lodging areas. Information can be found here: https://www.visitestespark.com/plan/getting-around/free-shuttle-buses/
