Lindsey and Lisa met while coaching softball for the Minnesota Force. Lindsey attended UW - River Falls and played softball there. Lisa played college softball at Bethel University and Martin Luther College. While coaching together, Lindsey was the head coach and Lisa was the assistant. They worked well together as they had several years of experience at the college level. It was as if they had known each other for years. Lisa and Lindsey bonded over their childhoods in church and school, families, and their love of softball. Lisa will also be in Lindsey's wedding this year too!
Zach Dwyer
Best Man
The first time Aaron met Zach was at a grade school basketball camp. There they completed the best 3 man weave the world had ever seen alongside other groomsmen Mitchell Anderson. Since then, they’ve been depressed Vikings fans, college roommates, and best buds. They've been known to quote too much (or not enough) Brooklyn Nine-Nine and enjoy a nice Castle Danger Cream Ale.

Ashlee and Lisa met when they were just three years old! They went to church together at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Park, MN. They attended Sunday School where Lisa's parents, Don and Kim, were their teachers. Ashlee and Lisa also spent many summers attending Camp Wapo in Amery, WI. Later, Ashlee and her dad surprised Lisa at a high school basketball game at West Lutheran High School. They enjoy hanging out and spending time together. One of their favorite spots is Buffalo Wild Wings. The girls have attended each other's events, supported one another through texts, calls, and especially FaceTime. During COVID, they Facetimed for several hours to keep each other company. Lisa can't wait to have her lifelong bestie beside her on her wedding day!

Aaron’s older brother and Aaron’s alternate name, since people often mistook one brother’s name for the other. Jake introduced Aaron to the world of Christopher Nolan’s Batman and Jon Favreau’s Ironman and kickstarted Aaron’s love for all things Marvel and DC. Conversations are often had about videogames, different card games and all things Minnesota sports. Care for a round of Gwent?

Cousin of the Bride. Lisa and Ashley grew up going to family gatherings/reunions on the Oakland side. Swimming, playing games, golfing, and making music are some of the favorite memories. Especially at Christmas time, when all the cousins would get together. Ashley and Lisa have supported each other by attending graduations, plays, and sporting events.
Mitchell Anderson

Aaron’s oldest friend since the days of coach pitch baseball, these two became inseparable. From playing multiple sports with each other to working the same summer jobs, many fun memories were had and more have been made. Mitchell and Aaron still play in Church League softball where they lock down short and second respectively.

Aaron and Jonah met each other their first year of college at UW- Riverfalls. Both bonded over sports and various nerdy shows/movies. Many conversations and debates have been had over the MCU, Star Wars and Game of Thrones. We will never forget the days of playing Mario Party on GameCube and asking “Where’s the fog?”

Emma is Lisa's cousin once removed. Lisa had the privilege of being in Alaina's (Emma's mother's) wedding, and Alaina was the flower girl in Kim's (Lisa's mother's) wedding. Having all of these family generations in each other's weddings is so special. Emma enjoys playing softball, playing games with her siblings/family members, and going to school.

Gideon is Aaron's nephew and Aaron’s other alternate name, since his mom and grandma have a habit of switching the two. Gideon loves being outside, playing Minecraft, playing games (he's very competitive), and watching movies at Grandma and Grandpa Leerssen's house with Lisa and Aaron.
Maren Hoffer

Maren is Lisa's Niece. From the moment she was born they loved spending time together. Playing outside, singing songs, coloring pages, and playing games have been some of their favorite things to do together. They also love watching Ward, Maren’s little brother / ring bearer, and keeping him in line.

Ellie is Aaron's niece. She enjoys spending time with Lisa and Aaron watching movies, playing games, giggling, hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa Leerssen's house, and coloring.

Ward is Lisa's nephew. Some of his favorite things to do are playing with Maren (his big sister / flower girl), being with his mom, and especially watching and playing with cars. Lightning McQueen is an all-time favorite for this boy. He also loves crashing cars together and playing demolition derby!
Pastor Jon Ladner

Pastor Ladner was both Lisa and Aaron’s Religion teacher at West Lutheran High School in Plymouth, MN. He had the privilege of being Aaron's Latin teacher at West as well as Lisa's track coach for two seasons. Both Lisa and Aaron are thrilled to have him officiate their special day!
James Nelson

Cousin of the Bride. James and Lisa have enjoyed growing up together. From when Lisa was little, the two cousins have been close. Playing games together, golfing, road trips, and family gatherings have been some of their favorite memories. Supporting each other in their achievements is always important to both of them. Also catching professional sporting events like the MN Twins, MN Wild, MN Vikings, and MN Timberwolves has been a blast!

Cousin of the Bride. Paul and Lisa have been close since she was little. Always attending each other's musical events, sporting events, and special occasions. Playing board games, spending time with family, attending professional sporting events, golfing, and supporting each other are some of their favorite memories.

Aunt of the Bride. From the time she was little, Lisa has been close to her Aunt Margo (Victoria's mother). She even helped design and complete Lisa's baby nursery. Lisa has enjoyed spending time with her Aunt Margo over the years. Plenty of Christmas parties, road trips, and love have been shared. Especially when Lisa graduated with her Master's in Education, Margo was there to support her, as she also has a Master's in Education. Having her a part of Lisa's wedding day will be so special.

Cousin of the bride. Lisa and Vicky (Margo's daughter) spent many memories together as young girls. Especially on long road trips, St. James Super 8 Hotel swimming during Christmas, and girls trips. On long car rides they would play their Gameboys, DS, and sing at the top of their lungs to the Shrek soundtrack on their CD players. At the Oakland Christmas parties the girls would magically turn into mermaids once they hit the Super 8 hotel's pool. They also were Santa's Elves and passed out all the gifts each year to their aunts, uncles, and their many cousins. Spending quality time together has always drawn them closer.
