FAQs

Question

Who should I contact for information the day of the wedding?

Answer

All questions on the day of the wedding and after-party about logistics or other details should be directed to Wedding Coordinator Carrie Everts at 760-522-0862.

Question

When and how should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than August 15th. We need to finalize numbers with our vendors and fine tune the last details for the big day. Please text 760-504-3624 and state whether you will be attending the ceremony, the after-party, or both. Please also state who will be attending from the invitees listed on the envelope.

Question

What is the parking situation like at the ceremony venue?

Answer

The venue is a city park in a neighborhood. Therefore, there is no large parking lot. Parking will be available along curbs throughout the neighborhood. We highly encourage wearing comfortable shoes and carpooling with friends/family if possible. Please contact us if you are disabled or will need assistance.

Question

What is the parking situation like at the after-party venue?

Answer

There will be a handful of reserved spaces in front of the house for our disabled guests. Please let us know in advance with your RSVP if you are disabled and will need to be close. The party is in a friend's backyard. Parking is available along curbs throughout the neighborhood. You can park on Buena Vista or Wilson if parking is full on Crest. Please do NOT park in the HOA community on the south end of Crest Drive (newer homes with a long curb). As with the ceremony, we highly encourage comfortable shoes and taking an Uber/Lyft from your home or hotel. We have rented a 15-passenger van to shuttle guests back to their cars at the end of the night if needed. The van will be parked in front of the house and will not have a schedule, but if you need a ride, you can contact Carlos 619-920-3243. He is a co-worker and has offered top help us get our guests back to their cars if parked further away. He will provide shuttle services at 10 PM after the bride and groom exit until all guests get to their cars safely.

Question

Why is there a large gap in time between the ceremony and the after-party?

Answer

We figure the ceremony will end by 1 p.m. The bride's big must have for photographs is a large panoramic drone shot of all attendees with the wedding party on the cliff overlooking the ocean. The wedding party will remain until about 2 p.m. for additional photographs. There can also be unpredictable traffic on the I-5 freeway, so we wanted to allow for time for the wedding party to get to the after-party.

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

Our color theme is a medium blue, khaki/tan, and white with colorful flowers. The bride wants an amazing drone photograph of the wedding party and all guests on the cliff at the ceremony, so as long as you aren't standing out in fluorescent orange, anything goes that would blend with these colors. It's October, so for those out of towners, prepare for it to be hot or cold...you just never know in the fall so bring layers. The evening can get crisp in the fall.

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

We are just happy to celebrate with all of our favorite people, but if you are inspired to gift, we have created some registry funds in the Registry tab and have created an Amazon registry.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

October can be hard to predict. It can be summer hot or fall crisp. We recommend bringing layers for throughout the day. In the evening it could be cool. We recommend checking the weather prior to the event.

Question

Is there assigned seating?

Answer

We are having a party, not a formal reception. There will be dining tables with seating, belly bars, and various benches and steps to sit on throughout the yard. This is backyard party style with a taco truck and finger foods. There will be a schedule for speeches and other traditional reception activities, but with a more casual feel. Sit next to someone you know or someone new!

Question

Can I bring someone?

Answer

Each reservation will have the invitees listed on the envelope. We are having a large wedding and can only have a maximum number of guests to stay within our vendor reservation limits. However, if you are dying to bring that plus one who wasn't on the list, you can ask us as we get closer to the event because we may have cancellations. Thank you for understanding.
