It all started with a tweet on Twitter. “Shoutout to my 300th follower!!!” — that’s what Andrew posted. Naturally, I was the lucky #300. Then came the DM. We like to joke about it even today, because the first thing he did was compliment the black-and-white leopard print scarf I was wearing in my profile pic. Did I want to instantly unfollow him after the shoutout? Almost. But there was just something about this guy and his awkward flirting that made me laugh. So we kept talking. Not long after, we decided to meet up after school. I picked him up (yes, I drove), and we went on our very first date to Buffalo Wild Wings. Fast forward 10 years — through school, growing up, and a whole lot of life together — and in 2024, he proposed at a beautiful waterfall in Costa Rica. Turns out, tweets and scarf compliments really can go a long way. From one message to forever, here we are — ready to say “I do.” And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
